Zip's POV
I'm actually so fucking stupid I hit Edward with a ship while playing with my younger brother chip! Ugh I feel bad like why did I do that I should have just payed attention to what I was doing! I feel so guilty like he's in the nurses office! I should get him stuff for his pain and also to say sorry because that's just bad I hit one of my only friends with a boat like who does that?! Maybe I should get him some Advil? Chocolate? Something to drink? I don't know what I should get him, you know what I'm getting his favorite food because I know he'll like that should I get him a stuffie? Probably he'll like that I should probably go to the store for him, maybe while I'm there I can get something like a cake or maybe cupcakes? Ugh what's his favourite flavor?
Edward's POV
Sitting in this bed in the nurses office.. because zip hit me with a boat, where did she even get that, neither her or Oliver had come to visit me yet I guess I have shitty friends, I mean what on earth could they be doing! I got hit by a boat and they haven't came to visit! Like come on! Show some sympathy for me!
Third person POV
Edward is pulled out of his thoughts abruptly by zip walking in the room holding chocolates and a bouquet that she clearly made herself using flowers which Edward is clearly happy on seeing it
"Oh? You actually do care about me"
Edward says teasingly, zip groans and flicks him on his forehead
"Hey! Don't do that you already got me in the nurses office you jerk!"
"Oh boo who cry about it you big baby"
Zip teases
"Be glad I actually like hanging around your dumbass or I swear to God I would have never would of started talking to you after you hit me with a boat, which how did you even get a boat in the pool? Like I don't understand" Edward questions confusion clear on his face
"A magician never tells their secrets"
Zip whispers in Edwards ear
"The most magical thing you've ever done was convince miss Circle not to kill you after saying two plus two equals eight" Edward snaps back at zip
"But it does?" Zip questions herself if it actually does equal eight or if Edward is right
"Are you actually thinking About this?? Zip that's actually sad"
"Shut up! This is why I hit you with the boat!"
"Wow rude"
"Anyways I have to go again bye! See you tomorrow!"

Zip's POV
School starts same as yesterday, but today Edward isn't in the nurses office yet knowing him something is going to happen that's going to get him hurt in miss bloomie's class because as smart as he is his experiments tend to go wrong but that's okay he tries his best I think at least? I mean he could not be and he's just naturally bad at making experiments work or he's doing it to annoy someone but I wouldn't know who he'd be trying to annoy since he's miss bloomie's favorite so he wouldn't be trying to annoy her, and his experiment fails are just funny to me so it can't be me and he wouldn't try to annoy Oliver so.. is he just bad at making working things? I don't know honestly I just hope he doesn't get hurt again.. enough about Edward this class is boring as hell why am I just talking about Edward when I'm bored? That's confusing it's not like I like him or anything... Right? I don't think I like him do I? Unless.. NO! NO! I don't like Edward! He's weird and he's a freak! Wait he's my friend... Uh he's weird but not a freak he's a.. nerd who gets no bitches.. I think? I don't know he's not great at telling us if he likes someone like last week he liked someone and never told us who! And he wasn't even being secret about the crush either I mean he blushes after a group of people walked by I don't know who he was blushing at I just know he was and I'm curious on why and who he was blushing at like I swear he never tells me anything anymore like I'm sorry I called you a geek after you made a drone a few weeks ago but it's not my fault you didn't like a joke I didn't even mean like Jesus way to be sensitive like it's not even that big of a deal- WAIT I KEEP GETTING OFF TRACK I NEED TO FOCUS ON MY CLASSES! I MEAN THIS CLASS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EDWARD!
"ZIP! PAY ATTENTION!"
"sorry Miss Circle! I didn't mean to zone out I promise!"
"Okay just pay attention!"
Third person POV
Zip's breathing gets heavier as she tries to calm herself down from being put on spot she's not used to getting yelled at by Miss Circle so she's a little panicked.. Edward seems to notice and grabs her hand
"Zip it's okay calm down"
He gives her hand a reassuring squeeze to try and calm her down
"See I'm here for you?"
Zip calms down she was just shocked from being put on spot and being yelled at by Miss Circle because she rarely gets yelled at by her, and the fact Miss Circle is her favorite teacher added to the pain
"Thank you.."
Zip mutters just barely able to be heard
"No problem zip I'll always be there for you okay? Because that's what friends do Right?"
Zip nods gently agreeing with Edwards statement her mind racing with thoughts she's never felt this way about anyone before until she meet Edward, Oliver seems to notice zip blushing
"Ooo someone has a crushh~"
He says I'm a condescending teasing voice just trying to piss zip off and we'll it worked.. she grabbed his throat
"Shut. Up. I do not have a crush!"
She growls pissed at Oliver who quickly swallowed his words and nodded gently
"Zip stop strangling Oliver we need him alive still"
"He said I have a crush on you" zip groans she's pissed but let's go of Oliver who rubs his neck trying to ease the pain and breathing heavily
"Jesus Christ zip take a joke"
He says glaring at zip both zip and Oliver are pissed at each other so much for best friends forever actually who are we kidding they're going to be friends even after this they're crazy
"Hey zip? Can you meet me by the gym after class?"
Edward asks a hint of blush creeping up on his face
"Huh? Oh yeah sure see you there"
Zip says she wasn't paying attention until Edward was speaking

Edward's POV
I lean against the wall tapping my foot I hope she shows up I really hope she doesn't bail I mean I've been thinking of her so fondly Jesus Christ I still like a girl that hit me with a boat what is wrong with me
I'm quickly pulled out of my thoughts by Zip's voice
"Edward! Ugh! Finally anyways what did you want?"
"Oh yeah uh.. look I've liked you for a really long time and I just didn't know how to tell you I mean I didn't know if you'd like me back or what but I realized I'd rather tell you and have you hate me then hate myself when you get a crush and won't stop talking about them"
She starts laughing.. in my face!? How rude maybe it was something I said or-
"Edward! You idiot I wanted to tell you that I liked you first!"
I sigh in relief she wasn't laughing at me for my feelings just that she wanted to tell me her feelings first
"So.. you feel the same way?"
"Nooo I don't I actually hate you" she says in a condescending sarcastic voice
"Okay so.. are we dating or..?"
"Eh sure why not, soo where's our first date going to be?"
She asks tilting her head in curiosity
"I don't know how about a picnic?"
"Sounds great"
