Liza's POV

In the serene atmosphere of the library, we gathered a substantial stack of books, each promising a potential solution to our quest. Without library cards to check them out, we found a quiet corner, claimed a table, and dove headfirst into the pages spread before us. The scent of aged paper filled the air as we turned page after page, immersing ourselves in the wealth of knowledge contained within each volume. We read about famous cases related to summoning, captivating stories, and mythological tales, each offering a glimmer of hope, only to be dismissed as irrelevant to our peculiar situation. The hours melted away as we poured over the texts, our focus unyielding despite the growing exhaustion gnawing at the edges of our minds.

As the sun dipped below the horizon and the library grew quiet around us, we pressed on, fueled by sheer willpower and the hope that somewhere in these pages lay the solution we sought. And even as fatigue tugged at our eyelids, we continued to read, driven by the belief that perseverance would eventually lead us to success.

I yawned and glanced at Adrian. He was engrossed in his fourth book, reading at a pace that seemed almost unreal. As I gazed at him, a surreal thought crossed my mind: a character from the pages of a book was now walking among us. Would anyone believe such an incredible tale if I dared to share it?

"You're staring at me, Liza," Adrian's voice broke through my reverie, his attention still captured by the book.

"Yes, I am. I mean, you're made of ink and paper, yet here you are, in the flesh. It's baffling," I was unable to contain my wonder.

He met my gaze and sighed, mirroring my own perplexity, "Honestly, I've been pondering that myself."

"Really?" I pressed, eager for insight. He merely nodded before diving back into his reading, leaving me to my own thoughts. But another thought captured me again. I leaned over and pinched him. He hissed, retreating his hand, giving me a look of disbelief and confusion. I softly chuckled, "Sorry, I was just checking if it will hurt you."

He smiled tightly, "You hit me with a sandal the other day. Could have thought about that too to be assured?"

I chuckled again, "Right," And then I went back to reading again. A few minutes later, Adrian grabs my attention.

"I think I found something."

"What?"

"See this," he said, turning the screen of his laptop toward me. "This is Rachel Green. She's deeply involved in witchcraft and the occult. I watched many of her videos, and they seem genuine. She calls herself a psychic and has a reputation for helping people in need. Her book, which I've been reading, details numerous unsolved cases related to summoning and sacrifices."

I leaned closer, examining the image of Rachel Green on the screen. She had piercing blue eyes and an aura of mystique that seemed to jump out of the monitor.

"How do you think she could help us?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"She's documented cases where she's successfully contacted spirits and entities from other realms. If we're dealing with a summoning, she might have the knowledge we need to understand how to reverse it and send me back."

I nodded slowly, trying to absorb the implications. "It sounds promising. But do you really think she would help us?"

Adrian shrugged. "It's worth a try. From what I've read, she's pretty open to helping those who are genuinely in need. We could reach out to her, explain our situation, and see what she says."

"Explain our situation. Adrian, you're not a Satan, spirit, demon, or something supernatural. You're fiction. You're a very different case."

"She deals with the inexplicable all the time. If anyone can make sense of this, it's her."
