Longer chapter
Tae was having a nice time with the Woogas, they took him out for a movie and then dinner, making sure he had a good time. They were unaware of the drama in the café, but someone took a video and posted it on social media. Tae didn't have Instagram, but the Woogas did. A notification popped up on Peakboy's phone as some other friend reposted. They saw the video, how angry Jungkook got, standing up for Taehyung and massacring Mina. Tae turned and walked away, he didn't want to see that, he was trying to move on.
Jungkook's parents phoned Mina's father after Jungkook told them everything. Her father was a bit surprised, he really thought Mina was earnest that she and Jungkook were getting married, they have been friends forever and he thought it was a natural step. But he understood that Jungkook did not have any feelings towards his daughter, and after what happened, he knew Jungkook will never talk to his daughter again.
The next day at work, the atmosphere was tense, the video spread like wildfire, and everyone knew what happened and the words Mina spoke. They themselves saw how Tae was pushed aside by his so-called boyfriend for a girl no-one knew, saw how she clung to him. Jungkook decided to address the employees, taking full responsibility for dragging the company through this, for hurting their colleague, causing him to even resign. He and the friends apologised for their actions. Wooshik stood up, "it is not us you should apologise too, it is your father, who's company you damaged, and it is Taehyung. You really hurt him." Jungkook nodded, but didn't know how to communicate with Tae, he was blocked, and Tae was not letting him in the apartment.
Wooshik told Jungkook that afternoon, that Tae is going with them to a diner across town, they should be there by 7. Hint, hint...
During dinner, Tae stood up to go to the bathroom. Wooshik caught Jungkook's eye, who was sitting on the other side of the room with the 5 friends, hidden behind some plants. Jungkook quickly got up, hope in his heart, but scared shitless.
When Tae came out to wash his hands, he was met with Jungkook, leaning against the door. He just ignored Jungkook and finished washing his hands. He walked to the door, which was blocked by Jungkook. "Please move, Jungkook." Jungkook sighed, seeing the cold face of his once bubbly, smiley, love. "Tae, please, can we just talk, I beg you. If after that you never want to talk to me again, I will respect your choice. Just, please, let us talk." Tae looked up, into the black eyes he loved so much, ok, little lie, love so much. He saw the sadness, the regret, the guilt, the shame and the love, all emotions like a tornado in the eyes and face of Jungkook. "Fine, but then, please leave me alone." "If that is what you want, I promise I will".
They sat on the floor of the bathroom, next to each other. Not touching, just sitting. "Kim Taehyung, you came into my life, and I never knew life could be so good... No, please, you said you would give me a chance" Jungkook stopped Tae from interrupting. Tae nodded his head. "I didn't believe I could ever have a perfect partner, but I met you and I knew I wanted you, if possible, for forever. This year has made such a huge impact in my life. I wanted to be better, so you can also be proud of me. I did not just fall for your ethereal beauty and gorgeous body, as I got to know you more, I fell in love the person you are. You are amazing and I wanted to give you all the love you ever wanted or needed. I wanted to give you all the love in the world. And I tried, I did. Then, Mina came back, and I forgot all about showing you love, making you happy, being there for you. I got so swept up by all the stories, the excitement of the world, I neglected the most important part of my world that was right before me. You, Taehyung, I neglected you, I hurt you, I made you cry, I made you believe that all my promises were lies. And I caused that. The very first day she was here, Jimin told me that I hurt you, but I could not understand, I could not see, what I did. I was to fucking blinded by the memories of our child hood, of the fun we had, when we were all just kids with no responsibility and a whole wide world to explore. And in doing that, I lost my world, I lost the reason I wanted to be better, I lost you. I am not making a single excuse, I am telling you what I was thinking, and how my actions caused me to lose you. No-one else, me. I should have seen what she was doing, I should have listened to you, but I didn't. Mina and I were friends first, before all the rest became our friends. I never knew she hated them; I never knew she wanted them out of the picture, I didn't see what she was doing to break us apart. And I am sorry for being blind, for being stupid, for being an immature, pathetic, asshole to you. I love you, Taehyung. What she said that day made me realise I have never shown you how much. She said if I really loved you, I would have fought for you, and that hit home. Instead of fighting for you that day, I fought with you, knowing your insecurities when it comes to being loved. I should have hugged you that day and never let you go but pulled the boss card instead. I should have shown my love in ways that you could never doubt me, but I humiliated you and mocked your love for me, deeming our year together as worthless. Instead of fighting for us, I stood back, believing when you are calm, we can talk. I am not giving up Taehyung, I am going to fight for you, every second, even if it takes forever, to show you with actions how much I love you. I will never stop. But...if you do not want me anymore, I will have to stand back, accept that I fucked us up beyond repair and respect your choice. But I beg, (turning towards Tae on his knees) I beg you with every cell in my body, every beat of my heart, please, give me a chance. Let me give you all the love in the world".
