LISA
Jennie was busy with painting our daughter's nails pink when I walked into the room. It was two years ago when Jennie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl we names Priscilla Brooke Cordova. Jennie came up with the nickname Pixie for our daughter because she thought our daughter looked like Tinkerbell. She had my eyes and my hair but everything else she got from her equally beautiful Mymy. I paused and just stood there, quietly watching them. My heart swelled with so much pride. These girls were mine. God, everytime I look at Jennie, Cookie, and Pixie I feel like I'm the luckiest man in this planet. My wife and our kids are the reason for my very existent.
"Dada." Pixie lifted her head and smiled when she saw me. "Look my naiws, Dada! Like Mymy!"
"You want to be like Mymy, don't you?" I stopped in front of them and sat on the floor by Jennie' feet.
"Mmhm! I pwetty too!" She nodded.
"Of course you are!" I reached up to touch her cherub cheeks.
"We're playing hide and seek. I'm hiding from him." I chuckled.
"Gabi na saka date night natin ngayon." Jennie reminded. We have date nights every weekend where we spend quality time together, away from the kids. I usually take her out for dinner or we'd go out and watch movies. Sometimes we'd even check in to a hotel for the night and go home in the morning.
"Napaliguan ko naman na si Cookie. I'm just tiring him out so when Bryce and Ronnie gets here, hindi na sila mahihirapan patulugin siya." I told her.
"Napaliguan na tapos magpapawis na naman kakalaro niyo." Jennie sighed.
"Daddaaaa!" I heard Cookie's voice out in the hallway.
"Don't tell him Dada's here okay?" Sabi ko kay Pixie.
She smiled and nodded her head. "Okay!"
I hid behind their armchair just in time as the door swung open.
"Dada?" I heard Cookie call out.
"Dada's not behind the chaiw." Narinig kong sabi ni Pixie. Jennie chuckled.
"He's not?" Tanong ni Cookie habang naglalakad palapit.
"Nuh-uh!" She answered and then yelled. "No, Kuya! Don't gow thewe! Dada's not thewe!!!"
"Gotcha!" Tumalon si Cookie. He wrapped his arms around my neck from my back.
"You got me!" I laughed, standing up and lifting him off the floor.
"Matulog na kayong dalawa. Come on, you two. It's already late." Tumayo na si Jennie, our Pixie on her hip.
"I don't want to sleep yet. I want to go with you and Mymy!" Cookie pouted, resting his chin over my shoulder.
"It's Dada's time with Mymy."
Jennie asked our daughter.
"Yeah." She yawned and buried her face in Jennie' chest. "I sweepy."
"Tonight is Dada timw. Tomorrow, It'll be Cookie and Pixie time again."
"Tomorrow I want to go to the Mind Museum. Can we go there?" Cookie asked.
"Okay. Wala naman work si Dada tomorrow. We'll bring you there." I answered.
