"Hey, are you okay?" I heard Fenri's concerned voice.

I could hear his footsteps approaching me. Meanwhile, I kept glaring at the guy's back, replaying the encounter in my mind. I couldn't shake off everything that had just happened.

"Kung nakamamatay lang siguro ang tingin, that guy would be dropping dead by now." Fenri jested.

I remained shooting the guy's back with my dagger stares. Feel my rage! I hope you trip over a rock!

Napalingon ako sa braso ko nang makaramdam ng marahang haplos. I saw Fenri taking hold of my arm. From his pocket, he retrieved a handkerchief and began to gently wipe away the coffee spills on my arm. I simply allowed him to do so, appreciating his thoughtful gesture.

"You must be plotting your revenge for that man, Avi."

Fenri's mention of him made me snap my head in the guy's direction again, catching a glimpse of him walking in the distance.

Oh, Fenri, you have no idea. I'm going to make him regret ever crossing paths with me. Revenge is a dish best served cold, but mine will be hotter than hell. . . scorching and relentless.

"Damn." Fenri quietly mumbled beside me. I turned to him and saw his worried face.

Uh, oh. I must've said my thoughts out loud.

"That was the executive committee chairman,"

Fenri blurted out of the blue as we were walking on the path toward the cafeteria.

"Levi, right?" Tanong niya pa sa akin.

Napatango na lang ako.

"Levi..." I said, repeating his name.

So, he's the one Sydney was talking about.

If the rumors about him are true, it would really be better if he were removed from his position as the execom chairman. His attitude reeks of evil, and I experienced it firsthand. Now I'm thinking whether I should also come forth and tell The Revolver about my foul encounter with him.

Speaking of whom...

"Sydney!"

I called out as soon as I spotted Syd with her back facing me. Her distinctive fish-braided hair made it easy to locate her even in a crowded room. Nakita ko siyang may binabasang maliit na papel pero mabilis niyang itinago iyon nang makita akong papalapit.

"What was that?" Kuryosong tanong ko nang makalapit sa kaniya.

"Nothing, just a receipt." She smiled at me, but it didn't reach her eyes.

Her gaze dropped to my blouse, and a frown formed on her face.

"Gosh! What happened to your uniform?" she exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hand.

I shrugged. "Got caught up in a hallway accident. Spilled coffee all over myself."

I hinted at the last sentence with sarcasm, but Syd seemed oblivious to it. She only nodded, still looking distraught at my uniform. Then her eyes shifted to the person behind me.
