Carefully, Seungcheol lifted Jeonghan into his arms, cradling him against his chest as he carried him towards the bedroom. Jeonghan's tears soaked through Seungcheol's shirt, but the Alpha paid no mind to the dampness, his only concern was the Omega in his arms.

As he settled Jeonghan onto the bed, Seungcheol made a retreat from the room, intending to fetch a glass of water to help calm the Omega's trembling nerves but was halted by the Omega's panicked cry.

Don't go!, Jeonghan's voice rang out, filled with fear and anger. Just don't.

Seungcheol froze, his heart breaking at the sound of Jeonghan's plea. Without hesitation, he immediately returned to the bed, enfolding Jeonghan in his arms once more, his own heart heavy seeing the Omega's pain.

I wasn't going anywhere, Seungcheol whispered. I was just bringing water. I'll stay here with you, I promise.

With those words, Seungcheol held Jeonghan close, offering him his arms and the security he so desperately needed in that moment. As Jeonghan continued to cry, Seungcheol remained by his side, constantly patting and reassuring him.

Now you feel okay?, the Alpha asked softly, his voice laced with genuine worry.

Seungcheol couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as Jeonghan assured him that he was okay. The Omega's pouty expression did wonders to Cheol, prompting Seungcheol to want nothing more than to ease his pain.

Should I make something else? You didn't like— , Seungcheol began, only to be interrupted by Jeonghan's prompt response.

I did. I liked the breakfast, Jeonghan reassured him, his words carrying a hint of sincerity that brought a small smile to Seungcheol's lips. Just reheat it.

Nodding in understanding, Seungcheol turned his attention to the task at hand, Umm, are you okay?

Jeonghan's immediate affirmation caught Seungcheol off guard, leaving him momentarily speechless.

I mean... You can sit on the sofa so I can watch from the kitchen... I mean I— , Seungcheol trailed off, his words stumbling over themselves as he struggled to articulate his thoughts.

But before he could finish his sentence, Jeonghan extended his hand, silently inviting him to pick him up and carry him to the sofa. The gesture caught the Alpha off guard, filling him with a mixture of surprise and tenderness.

Seungcheol couldn't shake off the sense of bewilderment as Jeonghan extended his arms. It was a simple gesture, yet it contained so many  unspoken emotions showcasing vulnerability and trust that left Seungcheol feeling both humbled and honored.

Without a word, Seungcheol scooped Jeonghan into his arms, cradling him gently as he carried him to the sofa. The Omega nestled against him, finding solace in the warmth of his embrace.

As he settled Jeonghan on the sofa, the Alpha couldn't help but marvel at the intimacy of the moment.

I am bringing it in a minute, okay, Seungcheol murmured softly.
With a tender smile, he reached out to brush away a stray tear from Jeonghan's cheek.

The Omega nodded as he met the Alpha's gaze and in that moment he felt something for Seungcheol that was out of his understanding but totally real — something that was neither fully understood but felt deeply.

In Jeonghan's world, Alphas were a distant concept, a collection of stereotypes and distant ideals that rarely entered his reality. They were the subjects of folklore, characters in stories passed down through generations. Even though his father and brother Seokmin both were Alpha. He treated them as nothing but a different species that didn't need his attention.

And then, I met you. || Jeongcheol ||Where stories live. Discover now
