william mckinley high relies on its social ladder to tell kids exactly where they belong, those that reside on the lower steps are subjected to abuse from the ones that reside above them. or in an easier way to explain it, the jocks torture the glee club on a very regular basis.
taylor rhodes is popular, she's on the cheerios, her best friend is a jock and everyone wants to be her. but taylor doesn't even want to be herself anymore, she's searching for change and unable to find it by herself.
that is until her best friend ends up joining the glee club while still being on the football team. taylor starts to realise that maybe they can't sit around and wait for mckinley high to change without doing anything and maybe she could actually like glee club.
but then sue sylvester asks her to spy on the glee club for her and taylor finds herself saying yes - even though she knows it's the wrong thing to do. but by spending time with the glee club she realises that they're a lot more likeable than the people she's spent years surrounding herself with.
now all she has to do is get out of sue sylvester's grip without letting the brunette that's entered her life figure out the real reason she joined glee.
