Uzumaki Orphanage, a place of refuge for young children who had lost their families, providing them with shelter and a sense of belonging.
Among the group of children was a spirited 9 years old boy with blonde spiky hair, whiskers-like birthmarks on his cheeks, Uzumaki Naruto.
He was the son of Uzumaki Kushina and Namikaze Minato, the owners of this place who died in a plane crash 2 years ago.
As the oldest child in the orphanage, Naruto naturally took the role of a big brother as he looked out for the younger kids ranging from babies to 6 years old.
Naruto didn't know why, but his orphanage wouldn't have kids beyond 6 years old but he was fine with that.
He was happy as long as his brothers and sisters got adopted into new families.
One fine morning later, the temporary caretaker trusted by his parents, Ms. Uzuki Yugao gathered them all in the common room except for the babies who were sleeping.
Today, they were welcoming a new member to their little family.
Hoshino Ai, a delicate 9 years old girl with blue purplish hair reaching her back, gradient colored eyes from purple to pink and a six-pointed star in each of her eyes, stood beside Ms. Uzuki, with a suitcase in her hands and a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
Even if they were young, the boys and girls in the orphanage were awed at her beauty.
"Everyone, this is Hoshino Ai, she's going to be staying with us from today on, make her feel welcomed, okay?"
A chorus of yes from the children filled the room before they, the one who can talk without speech errors, surrounded her, asking things about her hobbies, likes and such while the others just listened intently.
Standing at the back of the group, Naruto stared at the new girl intently.
His keen eyes noticed her forced smile and she was trying to block his brothers and girls from being too close to her while she didn't show it outwardly.
"Not going to join?" Naruto turned to Ms. Uzuki.
He grinned with hands behind his head
"Nah, they'll get bored soon, believe it."
Naruto slapped his mouth close, blushing from ear to ear when his verbal tik came out while Ms. Uzuki giggled at him.
The blonde pouted.
"Dammit..."
Ms. Uzuki ruffled his hair.
"Don't worry, it's cute."
His cheeks inflated further.
"I don't want to be cute, I want to be cool!"
Yugao was about to say something until she saw a girl of 4 years old, Izumi, pulling Naruto's pants.
