In the days that follow, Taehyung and Jungkook's bond grows stronger, their feelings for each other deepening with every passing moment. They find themselves sneaking in kisses and hugs between meetings or during breaks, savoring the stolen moments. During group discussions or meetings, they exchange long glances and subtle smiles, their eyes locking across the room, speaking volumes without words.
One morning, as Taehyung sits in his office, focusing on a report, the door swings open, and Jungkook walks in with a stack of papers. "Hey, I need your signature on these," Jungkook says, his eyes twinkling.
Taehyung smirks, knowing full well that these are just excuses to see each other. "Really? More papers? You're becoming quite the taskmaster."
Jungkook grins and leans in for a quick kiss. "Well, what can I say? I take my job seriously."
Just then, Hoseok walks by, stopping in his tracks when he sees them. He shakes his head with a knowing smile. "You two are incorrigible. Get a room."
Taehyung laughs, "We would, but the paperwork keeps bringing him here."
Jungkook chuckles, handing Taehyung the papers. "Just doing my due diligence."
In another instance, Taehyung finds himself standing outside Jungkook's office, pretending to look for a document. Jungkook notices him and waves him in. "Need something, Tae?"
Taehyung walks in, closing the door behind him. "Yeah, I think I left something in here... maybe my heart?" He finishes with a playful smile.
Jungkook laughs, pulling Taehyung into his arms. "Well, it's safe with me. Want it back?"
"Not a chance," Taehyung replies, leaning in for a kiss.
Their secret moments aren't always so secret, though. One afternoon during a break, they find a quiet hallway and steal a kiss, completely unaware that Jimin is just around the corner. He walks in on them, crossing his arms with a playful smirk. "Seriously, guys? The hallway?"
Both Taehyung and Jungkook jump apart, blushing furiously. Taehyung stammers, "Uh, Jimin, we were just—"
"Just what? Conducting a very thorough discussion?" Jimin teases, waggling his eyebrows.
Jungkook rubs the back of his neck, trying to play it cool. "Hey, it's not what it looks like."
Jimin raises an eyebrow, "Oh, really? Because it looks exactly like two people sneaking a kiss in the hallway."
Taehyung sighs, "Fine, you caught us. Just... keep it to yourself, alright?"
Jimin chuckles, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. But you might want to find a more private spot next time."
As the days pass, their routine becomes more domestic. Every evening, Jungkook comes to Taehyung's office with thoughts on the dinner menu. "So, I was thinking of making kimchi fried rice tonight. Care to join?"
Taehyung would always smile and reply, "I'd love to." He either helps Jungkook in the kitchen, sharing laughter and stolen kisses, or he plays with Jae, who adores him. Once Jae is asleep, Taehyung kisses Jungkook goodbye and heads home, his heart feeling lighter than ever.
Taehyung realizes how much he longed for this lightness in his heart and life. He truly enjoys every moment spent with Jungkook and Jae. As Christmas approaches, the festive vibe is palpable on the streets and in the office. Decorations go up, and there's a weeklong holiday to look forward to. Taehyung finds more time to spend with the father-son duo.
In the mornings, he joins them for walks, enjoying the crisp winter air and the crunch of snow underfoot. They build snowmen with Jae, who giggles and throws snowballs at both of them. Taehyung wishes his house was closer to Jungkook's so he could spend even more time with them.
