"Nia, slow down, would you?!" I panted heavily as I follow the Fairy King fly in full speed in front of me. Just a little earlier, we were fighting against the demon race along with Drole, Meliodas and Elizabeth until Gloxinia and I felt a change in atmosphere back at the forest's direction. As we speak, magical powers are dropping by the second, tons of it. Of course, as always, I ended up following him, worried as hell.
We flew past the numerous tall trees, not uttering a single word to each other. A while later, he spoke up. "Why are you following me, (y/n/n)" Does he seriously need to ask? "What do you think? Look, I know you're worried about what's happening back at the Light of Grace, but please try to slow down!" I screamed back. Silence. He just kept quiet.
Silence filled the atmosphere once more and we continued flying for god knows how long until we finally reached our destination. The sudden light that graced my face cause me to flinch and close them before opening them again to see Rou, a human Gloxinia recently rescued, covered in blood, holding a severely injured Gerheade on his right arm.
I stared at the two before turning to Gloxinia beside me, who is not happy at what he's seeing right now. He stared at them for a bit before his gaze darkened, then said, "No way. It can't be." the fairy king says with a short pause, then continued as he looked at his sister, then directed his gaze at the ground, "Gerheade. Rou." Rou looked at us and scoffed with a proud grin on his face.
"You take you hands off my sister." the fairy king scowls at the human in front of us, his hair on his face covering his mad expression. Before Rou and I could say anything, Gerheade weakly spoke up as she held her hand in front of us, "Wait. It's not what you think."
"It's fine" the human reassures the fairy. "Listen. Forget me"
"I can't. Please don't. You've got to run away..."
"Stay alive, Gerheade"
"Please, no.." the injured fairy mutters weakly.
"Bastard!!" Gloxinia screams as he released his spirit spear, Basquias. Even still, the human stayed still in place, unbothered by Gloxinia's rage. Once again, the fairy king's sister weakly uttered, fat tears forming on her remaining eye, while blood continued dripping from the other, "Stop this. Please don't go off on your own."
"Until next time, Gerheade." Rou finally said, setting the injured fairy on the ground. Getting a soft, weak gasp from her.
The fairy king did not hesitate to charge his spirit spear at the already injured human. Even near his end, Rou just smiled at us, without a hint of regret in his eyes. Seeing this, Gloxinia screamed, before completely killing him, "What's so funny?!"
Before the fairy king's spirit spear was able to hit the injured human, I closed my eyes, unwilling to witness a murder. After a few moments, silence filled the air. I can hear Gloxinia breathing heavily. When I opened my eyes, what's standing in front of me, is none other than Rou, who's missing an upper body. Horrified, all I could do was stare at the body before I turned my head, disgusted. This time, I'm face-to-face with Gloxinia, making an expression I've never seen before. Tears overflowing his gorgeous face, his long, red hair mixed along his tears as they decorated his face. Before I can reach out to him, I was attacked on my blind spot, falling out to the ground. The fairy king's worried expression was the last thing I saw before I completely drifted away into the darkness.
