Something bad is totally not gonna happen at summer camp...right?
Arashi doesn't understand how testing their ability to shrug off jumpscares will help them become better heroes. Yet here she is, walking along the trail, Aria practically hanging off her arm. Sachiko is a few steps ahead of them, hands dug far into her pockets. The first scarer was met with a slight jump from Aria. In all honesty, Arashi had seen scarier things than a man with black hair jumping out of the bushes at them. Sachiko merely paused and laughed at the poor man, who sulked back to his spot, waiting for the last remaining pair to walk through.
It's about halfway through the circuit, when Sachiko sighs, stopping in her tracks and spinning on her heel to face the two girls. "Ya know i'm bored as shit doin' this. Why don't we try to scare our classmates too?" Arashi stops, Aria seems...to be looking somewhere else. She had been doing that lately actually, ever since they came to the camp. Arashi just figured it had something to do with the upcoming trials during the camp, but the more the night stretched on, the scarers becoming less and less intense, Arashi started to wonder if there was something else going on.
"We should stick to the path, what if we got lost in the woods? Do you really want to have to endure whatever punishment Aizawa sees fit for the remainder of our stay here?" Sachiko stalls at that, before laughing.
"Nah- I don't really care what he has to say anymore. I'm bored and Class B really ain't doin' their jobs right now. Besides, how funny would it be to see the look on-" Aria jolts beside her, pulling tightly on her arm. Arashi flinches at the sudden movement, it seemed to be so out of place that Sachiko actually cut herself off. She looks at the smaller girl with a quirked eyebrow, she opens her mouth to ask Aria a question, before the girl holds a hand up for silence.
Arashi can hear the wind rustling through the trees, the air was damp with precipitation. A normal summer night, but given the circumstances, it was far too quiet. There were no screams from the groups that went ahead, no animals in the vicinity, if Arashi was honest, she didn't even hear her boots scrape against the earth.
What in the-
Something pushes through the air, Arashi could see the tracks of another person standing right infront of Aria, who had pushed Arashi from her shield raised defensively over her head. She grit her teeth in an effort to push whatever had slammed down on her shield.
That's when Arashi smelt it. It was so sudden and so clear in her mind, the image of blinking to awareness in the USJ, surrounded by fire and smoke. Arashi feels her throat burn all over again, the pain in her side felt fresh, like the wound had reopened on her. Arashi felt her hands twitch to create a vortex once again, but she realizes that she hasn't been given the permission to use her quirk yet. The rushing winds falls back to normal as Arashi's hands drop to her side. She does however, pull her bo staff from her back, her finger hovering over the button she had to extend it.
Arashi still hasn't grappled with the fact that she couldn't see their assailant, the weight is off of Aria's shield, but they still can't see where she had went. Arashi's eyes fall to the floor, and she can see the tiniest bit of dirt being kicked up just near the undergrowth. She waves her hand in front of her, kicking up the wind to blast dirt in the direction of the tracks.
A figure is flashed briefly when the dust settles, a faint outline of a person with a large...sword? Arashi doesn't have a chance to get a good look before she's being shoved to the side once again, this time by Sachiko. She can see the girl clearly now, medium light blonde hair fell like waves down her back, a hard white mask covered her mouth, and a sheer mask covered her eyes. It glinted under the light of the moon like a beacon, blinding Arashi for a moment.
