Seungmin was scolded, but since Stay mostly reacted positively to our relationship, the consequences were minimal. They just forbade him from streaming for two weeks. "Almost like when my mom took my phone away," I giggled afterward. "Yeah, I guess I'm lucky everybody likes you," Seungmin said, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me closer. We were heading back to Seungmin's dorm after Chan finally let us go. "You know about that concert next week? I told you, right?" he asked. "Yeah, I remember, but unfortunately, I have an exam the next day and I need to study," I lied, planning to surprise him with a ticket I secretly bought and a poster I'd been working on for days. Only Chan knew about my plan to spot me in the crowd. "Oh... okay. That's fine," he said, sounding a bit disappointed. "I'll come to your next one, I promise," I said with a smile.

I stood in line, excited and ready to rush for a front-row spot. "Nice poster," a girl in front of me said. I smiled. "Thanks," I replied. Some fans recognized me from Seungmin's live, and we took a picture together. Finally, we were let inside, and I hurried to get a good spot near the stage.

Seungmin was a bit annoyed. During the concert, Chan kept telling him to look through the crowd for no specific reason. Normally, Seungmin glanced at the audience occasionally, but this time Chan's reminders were constant. Seungmin wished Mai were here so he could rant to her later, but she couldn't make it. He scanned the crowd again, as Chan insisted, between songs while Lee Know chased Han around the stage. Suddenly, a poster caught his eye. "I'm in love with a Starboy" was written in big block letters. Nice, even the posters reminded him of her by now. But he started smiling, his heart skipping a beat when he saw it was Mai holding it.

I laughed when Seungmin's eyes met mine. He grinned wildly and waved at me, then ran to his bandmates, pointing at me with excitement. People around me started to look, confused about why Seungmin was so happy to see me. After me waving to the other members, Seungmin made his way to the edge of the stage, spoke to a security guard, and pointed at me. The guard approached. "I'm supposed to bring you backstage," he said. I nodded, rolled up my poster, and handed it to him so I could climb over the barricade. I watched the rest of the concert from backstage, eagerly waiting for them to finish.
Seungmin burst into the room, his face lighting up when he saw me. "You're here!" he exclaimed, pulling me into a hug. "I couldn't miss the concert when it's practically around the corner," I said, savoring the moment. Seungmin turned to the other boys. "Did you know?" he asked, still holding me close. Chan grinned. "I did. Why do you think I kept bugging you to look through the crowd? I spotted her in the first five minutes, but you took forever," he laughed. "Well, I didn't expect her!" Seungmin defended himself. I laughed. "That's the whole point of a surprise." Seungmin shook his head. "You're a crazy girl."

A few days later, Seungmin and I took a walk along the river when he suddenly stopped. "What is it?" I asked, turning to him. "I got you something," he said, taking a step closer. "You don't have to get me things," I smiled. "I know. But since we'll be away for a few weeks, I wanted you to have something to remember me by," he said, pulling a small box from his pocket. I smiled. "We'll talk on the phone every day, right?" I said but took the box from him. "Yes, but with that, you will always have something of mine close to you," he whispered, nervously watching as I opened the box. Inside was a fine silver necklace with a small heart charm on it. A small 'S' for Seungmin was engraved into it. It wasn't something extravagant but rather something you could wear every day. I smiled brighter. "It's beautiful," I whispered, looking up at him. "Can you help me put it on?" I took the necklace out of the box and handed it to him. He stepped behind me and fastened it, the charm now dangling against my neck. I smiled even brighter as I turned towards him, slinging my arms around his neck. "I love you, Seungmin," I whispered. "I love you too, Mai. And I will love you forever," he answered, before leaning down and pressing a sweet kiss onto my lips.
