Chapter 7

Just when it seemed like everything was going well, fate took a cruel turn. One rainy afternoon, Seungmin was on his way to meet Minho. They had planned a quiet evening together, away from the prying eyes of their classmates. As Seungmin walked down the street, he felt happy and excited. The rain fell gently on his umbrella, and he couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing Minho again.

As he neared the park where they were supposed to meet, he saw a small child playing near the edge of the road. The child's ball rolled into the street, and without thinking, the child ran after it. Seungmin's heart skipped a beat as he saw a car speeding toward the child. Time seemed to slow down as he realized the child was in danger.

"Watch out!" Seungmin shouted, his voice barely audible over the rain.

In a split second, Seungmin ran towards the child, pushing them out of the way just in time. The child fell safely onto the sidewalk, crying in shock and fear. But Seungmin wasn't so lucky. The car hit him with a sickening thud, and he was thrown to the ground, pain radiating through his body.

As he lay there, rain pouring down and mixing with the blood on the pavement, his vision began to blur. He could barely hear the sound of people shouting and the child crying. Through the haze, he saw a familiar figure running towards him. It was Minho, his face filled with horror and disbelief.

"Seungmin, no!" Minho cried, dropping to his knees beside Seungmin.

Seungmin tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come. He reached out a trembling hand, and Minho grasped it tightly, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Stay with me, Seungmin," Minho begged, his voice breaking. "Please, don't leave me."

Seungmin's vision darkened, the pain fading away. His last thought was of Minho, the boy who had gone from being his rival to his lover. He wished they had more time together. But as everything faded to black, he felt a strange sense of peace. He managed a weak smile, his fingers gently squeezing Minho's hand one last time.

Minho's sobs grew louder as he held Seungmin close, feeling the life slip away from his lover. "I love you, Seungmin," he whispered, his voice choked with grief. "I always have."

Seungmin's eyes closed, and his breathing slowed until it finally stopped. The world seemed to stand still in that moment, the rain continuing to fall around them. Minho clung to Seungmin's lifeless body, the reality of the situation crashing down on him.

The sirens of an ambulance wailed in the distance, but it was too late. Seungmin was gone. Minho's heart shattered into a million pieces as he cradled Seungmin, the boy who had changed his life in ways he never imagined.
