Madeline was and still is quite literally the definition of trouble, and misunderstood. She had two older brothers and a younger sister. She would've never predicted that she was a daughter of Hermes.
So when she found out. She absolutely freaked out. She was an extreme perfectionist as a kid. So at the age of 8. When she found out about it. She cried. For hours.
Being the only known daughter of Hermes angered her quite a bit. Since people would assume her to be troublesome as a kid. But she wasn't.
As a kid. She was a quiet, introverted and kind little girl. So no one really expected her to be troublesome when she turned 11. She was close with her half sibling. Luke. He reminded her of her oldest brother who was the same age as Luke.
How she got claimed? She flirted with an Ares guy, picked his pocket. Got 5 drachmas. And when she looked up. Hermes's logo.
When she was 5 and had to start going to school. She met a boy. Percy Jackson. They instantly clicked and became best friends. They even had nicknames for each other. Percy would call Madeline 'maddie' or 'mads'. He would call her mads when he wanted to piss her off.
Ever since she was a kid. She was obsessed with spiderman. She adored all the movies. Well having two older brothers she kinda grew up with them.
Now she was a complete different person. She was an extroverted introvert. And she had severe trauma. Having her parents constantly fought. She never knew about what. Until she found out the truth.
Her mother had cheated on her "father" with Hermes. Causing Madeline to be the result of that affair. She had always wondered why her brothers and parents had blonde hair and green eyes. While she had brown hair brown eyes.
Gods. She hated her family. Hermes wasn't that bad. That's what she would say. At least he's better than Athena. Right?
She was very close with her half siblings.
Her friends are: Annabeth, Luke, Chris, Grover, and Percy.
Gods she missed percy. She wanted to back in New York and run to him! But she couldn't! And that pestered her so much!
She would think about him on a daily basis. Wonder what he was doing, how he was doing. She missed him. She had a thought of sneaking out to see percy. But she knew the dangers.
She had to admit. When she was younger she did have a little crush on percy. But he would never like her like that. At least. That's what she thought.
