This was the year that Welton was allowing girls into Welton. The all girls school that was near them was shutting down and they were all being accepted into Welton. They would soon allow some of the teachers to work there, but for now they only let the girls start school.

"Neil! Valerie!" Mrs. Perry yelled from the kitchen, "Hurry up! We need to leave in ten minutes!"

The Perry twins were in their rooms getting their last few items together. They had ran into each other in the hallway and walked down the stairs talking to each other. "Are you excited to go to Welton?" Neil asked.

She laughed, "No, but I'm happy that I don't have to go back to that Catholic school." The twins shook their heads in unison.

"The funny thing is that we aren't even Catholic. I don't know why mom and dad sent you there." Neil chuckled.

"We aren't Episcopalian either. What's your point?" Valerie snapped back. They looked at each other and laughed. Their mother and father were waiting for them at the front door.

"Took you two long enough! Let's go!" Mr. Perry snapped. The two kids looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Valerie didn't like the silent while walking to their car.

"Are you still friends with those kids? Please tell me you finally stopped talking to Cameron." Valerie looked to her brother.

"Still friends with them, that includes Cameron." Neil laughed shaking his head.

"I hate that kid." Valerie said. Nobody talked the whole way to the school. It was only a 20 minute drive but it felt like an hour. They finally got to the school and went in to the auditorium.

They went through the entire opening ceremony and all the students sat down. "I would like to welcome our students from Saint Agatha's Catholic School for Girls." Mr. Nolan said to the girls. Valerie was sitting with her friend Gabby Terriancie and the rest of the Saint Agatha girls. Mr. Nolan went on with his speech but Valerie didn't pay attention until everyone got up and went back to their cars.

She met up with Neil and her parents. Neil and Valerie grabbed their bags and said their goodbyes to them. "Don't make any trouble this year. I'm talking to you Valerie." Mr. Nolan said.

"We won't!" Both of the kids said in unison. They started walking away, into the school. Valerie and Neil were both on the same floor. Neil had waited for Valerie and Gabby to find each other.

Valerie had known Gabby for around five years, Neil had known her for around three of those years. They had been to each other's house many times over the years. The group walked to their room and Neil had met his roommate, Todd Anderson.

The two boys walked in front of the two girls. Neil and Todd got to their room. Gabby and Valerie had said goodbye to them and went to their room.

They were unpacking when they heard a knock at the door. It was Neil and his other friends; Charlie Dalton, Steven Meeks, and Knox Overstreet. "We need to talk." Knox whispered as he looked over at Gabby, "Alone."

She gave a confused look at the boys before she turned to Gabby, "I'll be right back." Valerie told her and she nodded.

Valerie walked out of the door and closed it behind him. "What's your problem?" she asked.

"Cameron is our problem." Charlie said. She looked around at them confused, waiting for more context.

"He won't leave us alone." Meeks said in an annoyed tone.

"And how it that my problem?" She asked the boys but before they could speak she interrupted them, "Shut up. Pitts incoming, Cameron right behind him."

"Hey Valerie!" Pitts said to her. They hugged each other and she looked around at the other boys.

"I didn't know you went to Saint Agatha's." Cameron said.

"I told you like a hundred times she was coming here this year." Charlie was clearly annoyed.

"Uh... I'm gonna go unpack my stuff." Valerie walked away. Pitts tried to grab her without Cameron noticing but he missed her hand.

"Who were they?" Gabby asked Valerie.

"My brother and his friends." She laughed. "They're kind of annoying but I've grown up with them."

"Oh that's nice." Gabby looked down at her suitcase and didn't look at her friend.

"What's wrong?" Valerie walked over to her friend and sat down on her bed. The two girls looked at each other with depressing looks.

"You better not leave me alone this year. You're genuinely my only friend." Gabby choked as she now put her clothes away.

"I would never leave you alone. You are stuck with me till death do us part." Both the girls started laughing and continued to unpack.
