Episode 11: "City Bound"
Ashton and Max reluctantly packed up their belongings, leaving the serene coastal town behind. Their weekend of love had come to an end, and the city beckoned them back to reality. When they finally arrived back to New Orleans and walked into Max's apartment, Ashton couldn't shake off the feeling that their relationship was about to face new challenges.
As they sat in Max's living room and things settled down, Ashton felt a sense of comfort he hadn't experienced in a long time. Max was easy to talk to, and their conversations flowed effortlessly. They were going to be ok.
Just as things were starting to feel perfect, Max's phone rang. He answered, and Ashton could tell by the tone of his voice that something was wrong.
As Max hung up, he turned to Ashton with a worried expression. "That was my ex Ethan. He's dropping off our son, Jack, in an hour. I hadn't planned on him coming over so soon..."
Ashton sensed Max's anxiety and offered a reassuring smile. "Hey, it's okay. I can head out and give you some space." Max nodded gratefully. "Thanks, Ashton. I appreciate it, I'll call you soon."
Ashton left Max's apartment, feeling a bit uncertain about what the future held. But he knew one thing for sure - he wanted to be there for Max, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
