FAMILY LINEAGE

eoghan's cat aigéan was sat comfortably in farah's lap as she slowly stroked him and he purred happily.

"wait so his names aigéan cause it's ocean in irish?" farah asked curiously as she looked down at the small feline in her lap and then back up at eoghan.

"yeah cause his eyes remind me of waves and his white coat reminds me of the white part at the tip of the waves and obviously it's irish, i wasn't gonna call him ocean that's too bland and outright pretentious in my opinion." eoghan explained as farah nodded and hummed impressed at his explanation.

"mate why did professor sit you beside that dick blaise?!" declan cut in as he paced around the shared dorm clearly deep in thought and completely ignoring what conversation farah and eoghan were having prior.

"dunno maybe cause it was the only free seat left?" eoghan shrugged and stated the obvious.

"not true there's always at least two chairs free, one beside blaise cause everyone's afraid of him and one beside that weasley kid." declan shook his head disapprovingly as he pointed his finger, wagging it around like a parent.

"oh i dunno then maybe it was the first in sight." eoghan just shrugged and gave an unbothered look to declan as he slumped down beside farah.

"yeah declan don't read into it too much just because you hate slytherins.. there's clearly no necessarily important reason for it." farah explained as she picked aigéan up and kissed his nose softly and he meowed.

"i'm not it's just odd to me, i mean did blaise say anything out of sorts to you?" declan interrogated eoghan as he walked in front of him while farah rolled her eyes and sighed.

"no just his name and that i should leave him alone and let him focus, he was pretty boring and callous to be honest." eoghan told him as declan just nodded and sighed before the trio heard a boy from the year below run in and tell them that dinner was starting.

as the trio sighed and said their farewells to aigéan, they all left bumping into one another's shoulders, pushing and shoving playfully before leaving the common room to go to dinner in the great hall.
