"𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚞𝚜?"
~A song to listen to while reading: Running up that hill by Placebo
THE NEXT DAY had rolled over and Marley wanted to give up then and there, I mean who would want to have Tanner's class first thing in the morning?
Marley still hadn't seen her mom in the past two days she's been back, she wondered if she even noticed her being gone for last couple months, but then again she didn't even feel like a priority to her mom.
She doesn't even know the last time her mom ever replied to any of her messages, if her dad were still here, he would be here with her in a heartbeat.
The thought made her eyes burn, she inhaled as much air as she could before exhaling it all out. Two years later, it still hurts as if it were yesterday like an open wound that never closed, she wasn't sure if it ever would.
Marley never got the chance to grieve, she tried to ignore the heartache as much as she could cause she knew that if she gave in and allowed herself to grieve, she wouldn't be sure if she would ever get out of that place.
She sometimes wondered why wasn't it her that died, instead of her dad.
"THE battle of Willow creek, took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls." Tanner walked from behind his desk, while Marley wished that she could slam his head against it.
"How many casualties were there? Miss Bennett?" Marley could see the grin the asshole was trying to hide, he seemed to get a kick out of picking on anyone in his class, it made her dislike him even more.
"Um...a lot? I'm not sure, but a whole lot." Bonnie stated in more a questioning way, she wasn't paying much attention, nobody really did in Tanners class anyways.
"Cute becomes dumb in an instant Miss Bennett." Marley found it weird at the underlying way of his words, he was a teacher calling his student cute, it didn't sit right with her.
Seeing's Bonnie's fallen face, she couldn't wait to put Tanner in his place, he could threaten to call home as many times as he wants, there wasn't anyone to answer the phone.
"Mr. Donovan, would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?" Tanner asked, seeking to see if anyone actually knew the answer.
