The restaurant was amazing and the night was even better. I was glad to get out off the restaurant though and spend some alone time with Chris. I also wanted to discuss our relationship.
"So Chris, what should we do now?" I asked him, sparking conversation, as we walked down the crowded midnight streets of New York City. We had been walking for about an hour checking out shops and stores. I yawned softly.
He hesitated but responded,"Well someone looks a little sleepy. I rented a hotel room for the night. It's a couple streets back."
"I'm not tired thoughhhh," I said sounding like a little kid.
"Come on, it's late," he said, tugging me towards him and kissing my forehead.
We walked down a less crowded alleyway to the hotel.
BOOM.
I heard a gunshot from behind and saw a person to the left of Chris fall to the ground.
"They're here," Chris mumbled pulling my wrist as another shot fired.
BOOM.
