Sebastian experienced the same thing he had gone through the first time he had fell inside the portal, he almost puked from the mere touch of the strange magical rays he'd gotten pushed into.

He fell through the portal once again, he looked down, the forest had gone from bushy, evergreen trees, to redwood trees, each tree seemed like the leaves had been bedazzled with magenta rubies

"Dubhessa, stay there, I can tell somebody's who shouldn't be here is here."-the voice pierced through the forest, Sebastian quickly picked himself up and brushed the dirt off of his jeans, he scanned the area, nothing was there, another voice came in.

"It's my forest, I'm sure I can handle an intruder on my own, find the girl."-Sebastian heard the person snap their fingers and right after, Sebastian looked down to find another vortex right below his feet, he screamed, all of the noise he would make was stretched out by the pull of the portal.

With a thump, he fell to the floor, above him were the two grand sorcerers, Dubhessa, and Brontë, a stern look on both of their faces.

"We told you to stay put, can you explain why you're here when our directions were simple. STAY. PUT."-Brontë ranted, Sebastian looked at Dubhessa, looking for a sign of forgiveness, she shook her head in disapproval.

"Look, what we said was a warning, and you pretty much ignored it, so stop wasting our time, and head back."

Suddenly, the trees surrounding Sebastian bent down and grappled his arm, they gripped onto his arms and legs like chains, his face looking like a deer in the headlights, terrified and confused, he tried to release himself, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't break through, even attempting to use his magic, but no luck.

"Let me go! Are you crazy, I'm trying to help!"- Sebastian begged, but Brontë and Dubhessa sighed, then turned around, and Dubhessa elegantly raised her hand in the air, pulling down the black cloak, which Brontë climbed onto, and soon flew away.

"Wait! Please let me go!"-he begged once again, but they were too far to hear his cries, then, the trees began dragging Sebastian out of the forest, he pushed against it, but the trees kept pulling, until he screamed, everything stopped, he looked up, and after his blurry vision had cleared up, he saw Genevieve, standing right above him, her foot was on the tree branches pulling him down, Sebastian felt safe, but felt as if something was wrong, Genevieve's dark amber eyes were no longer the same color, but a deep magenta color, a strange shining glint in her eyes

"G-Genevieve, what are you doing here."-he stammered

No response, now Sebastian really knew something was up, he remembered how Dubhessa had cursed the land, Genevieve must have stayed there for so long, she'd been spellbound to Dubhessens. Genevieve suddenly had a burst of strength, using her foot to crush the trees whole, releasing Sebastian, instead of thanking her, he quickly backed away, running from her.

"Halt"-Genevieve said, she had no emotion on her face, only the look of blank expression was painted on it.

"Get away from me!"- Sebastian screamed, his ring began growing darker, shining with magical thunderbolts floating on it.

He ran up the same grassy hill he was dragged down by the redwoods, he didn't dare stop in his tracks, and continued running, he looked up, and saw Dubhessa and Brontë flying above on the cloak. Sebastian read their lips despite them being so high up

"The girl, she's right there"

"Land now!"

Genevieve began walking towards Sebastian, her hand reached out to him, grasping, when they were six feet away, Sebastian felt his breath somehow being carried away, he tried escaping, but he felt paralyzed by the dark magic controlling him, he saw Dubhessa and Brontë swooping down and suddenly collapsing on top of Genevieve, with a thump, where Genevieve once was, strange black dust emerged, and flew away, Sebastian fell down as well, and glared at Brontë and Dubhessa

"What was that?"-Sebastian asked

"It's dreaded Maelani, she's warning us not to go any further and come see her."-Dubhessa explained, "We need to get to her now."

Suddenly, Brontë, Dubhessa and Sebastian scanned the forest quickly, as they heard the rustling of leaves crunching on the ground,

"Hello?"-the voice echoed, to Brontë and Dubhessa, it was just a complete stranger, but to Sebastian, he knew it was Genevieve.

"Genevieve!"-Sebastian shouted, emerging from the trees, was Genevieve

"Sebastian? Why are you here, you didn't have to come."-Genevieve said, even though she was confused, she still hugged him.

"Why are you two here?"-Brontë questioned.

Sebastian looked at Genevieve, with a look of saying "what do i say?" Genevieve shrugged.

Finally, Sebastian managed to break the awkward silence

"We're here for the Pendulum of Salem."-he explained, "There's a banshee that's bound to kill us, and we need the pendulum to fight against it."

Brontë glared at Dubhessa, and Dubhessa glared back

"If you want to get the pendulum, then you'll have to ask Maelani."-Dubhessa looked up at the fortress in the sky, high in the distance, "But let me warn you, she's not exactly an easy persuadable woman."-she cautioned.

Maelani.. Maelani was the queen and ruler of all of the Primordial Grand Sorcerers, the Primordial Grand Sorceress of Darkness, and Eternal Dread, she ruled over all supernatural beings, the one with the most power, Sebastian realized she would be extremely hard to convince that he—a random teenage warlock that he could use the pendulum, as Genevieve told, she used to be kind, and demure, but something had happened with one of her children, that caused her to become dull and cold, but nobody ever knew who the child was, or what happened, all that was known, was that she never was the same again.

"Wait,"-Genevieve protested, "Please, can you let us fly on your cloak, Dubhessa, so we can see Maelani?"

Dubhessa stared at Genevieve, her eyes narrowing, she seemed frustrated, but soon, she snapped out of it,

"Alright,"-she nodded, and took off her cloak, it covered the whole forest floor, despite there being thousands of trees, "Hop on, we're heading to the Fortress Magnificent."

Brontë, Sebastian and Genevieve quickly sat on the cloak, which Dubhessa pulled as she began to fly, and then quickly seated herself on, Sebastian looked around the realm, it looked completely surreal, he'd never seen such a dark, yet beautiful place, the trip to the Castle took long, but Sebastian knew it was worth the wait, when they finally arrived out front, he looked at the castle in the sky, it was decorated nicely with ribbons and banners, and made entirely out of stained glass, he loved it, but knew there was something off.
