I wake in a sudden. Sweat glistens my temple, my hair a mess. One face has haunted me all night. One pair of cold eyes.
The disappointing reality is that Jos Verstappens words had an impact on me. A lingering, aching impact.
And yet, he's my only motivation to get out of bed.
A motivation, a need to prove the old man wrong.
I smile as I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Hair tangled, mascara stains under my eyes, and that deadly Verstappen stare in my eyes.
I'm Isa Verstappen.
Not Jos' daughter. Not Max's little sister.
Isa Verstappen. The best journalist in this industry.
Or at least I'll be one day...

"Hey Richard!" I exclaim, the second I see my boss in the paddock. A grin immediately spreads over his lips, as he opens his arms out.
"Come here! Quick!" He happily shouts over the filled paddock. Extremely confused, I do as he asks, awkwardly running over to him.
"What?" I ask, unable to hold in a slight laughter. Richard looks incredibly silly with his arms up in the air. And the poor old man is even out of breath from it.
"This is insane, you'll never believe it!" He rivetingly exclaims, eyes wide and smile bright. I've never seen him act like this before, making me genuinely curious..
"What is going on?" I repeat, trying to bring Richard back down to planet Earth. He simply takes a deep breath in response, pulling out his phone.
Rushingly and aggressively, he taps on the screen, searching for something, with an stressed expression.
"This." He answers, dramatically bringing the phone up to my face. At first I can't see a thing on the screen, Richard literally shoving the phone in my face.
But once my vision becomes clear, and a tweet from Leclerc appears, my breathing suddenly stops.
Oh my fucking god.
