Aislinn
- "Aislinn, wake up the bell has just rung, come on let's go!"
What an annoying voice...
-"Lina...", I say, still way too sleepy, "you're my best friend right ? Then act like one."
-"Right now I am the one who should tell that to you, look, he's already out !"
I am following her gaze and see Wyatt, Lina's boyfriend.
-"Do you really want to do that? I mean, it doesn't seem right..."
I ask her that because this is literally called stalking. Okay, maybe it's not the good term, all we are going to do is follow him through the town to see if there could be any potential reason for him acting careless, like another girl.
Her face becomes more thoughtful.
-"This is definitely not right, and I know it. But lately he's been way too busy and has let me down, so he deserves it."
A silence settles.
Seeing one of my friends getting depressed over a guy ? Hell no, that's not going to happen!
I get back my determined attitude and energy, then say:
-"Okay then, no more pitying yourself, we'll track him!"
I stand up, grab her arm and drag her towards the exit.
We go out of the amphitheatre, go down the hallway, then turn left to go outside, and hit almost twenty other students by the way.
He's right there getting in his car.
Where the hell is he going ?
We hurry up and try to discreetly reach my car.
As we get in, I am starting the car in a rush, and the mission starts.
We - rather Lina - have been preparing this for like one week. From what she said, he's not paying attention to her anymore, is always busy with work, and starts arguments over nothing. She told me that he basically lost the aim of being into a relationship: Love.
-"What if he's cheating on me ?", Lina says in a worried tone.
-"You are gibbering."
I hope so, because if we catch him doing anything like that, I will make him regret it.
Lina has been my best friend since I came here in London three months ago from France as an exchange student. I generally have no difficulties making new friends, but here , things were different. I felt like everyone had something to reproach me even though I hadn't done anything wrong. I've been hearing that what's-her-name told what's-his-name I was haughty and so on. But things happened differently with her,I knew it would as soon as the teacher paired us up together for a group work, she had a sincere smile on her face and genuinely welcomed me. We instantly got on well and in a short time she became the sister I've always wanted to have.
-"I am not gibbering and you know that as well as me."
-"Just stop talking, you are attracting negative vibes !"
-"Look in front of you instead of yelling at me! He turned right !"
I lean into a turn and keep chasing him, his car stopped next to a preschool, so I park my car too.
-"Why did he stop here?"
I'm thinking about a valid explanation, maybe he has a little sibling, or a cousin, or-
