AislinnYesterday, when Lina showed up to my apartment, I didn't ask anything. Firstly because it definitely wasn't the right moment, but also because I did not need any explanations. I understood it right away. They broke up. I should have told her to not have big expectations, to stop dreaming about a future with him, to be prepared. The image of her completely wet comes back to my mind every time. She looked so desperate, so broken.
I sent her to the bathroom to take a hot shower and lended some of my pyjamas, then told her to go to sleep. She refused and told me she needed to talk, therefore, that's what we did.
From what she said, they had a big fight during which he admitted he fell in love with some other girl he met two months ago.
As if it was possible to be in love with someone in such a short time, I think, irritated.
She told me, crying one's eyes, that she had an attack of nerves and just started to break everything in the apartment. At the beginning, Wyatt tried to calm her down, which obviously did not happen - like bro what did you expect- , and ended up kicking her out.
She didn't want to bother me at that hour so went to sleep outside. While it was raining.
Idiot.
Right now, I finish preparing breakfast, I did all the things that Lina loves, however,I feel like something is missing. I made crepes, two plates of typical English breakfast with baked beans, bacon, grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms and bread...
What could be missing?
A cake.
This is literally her favourite thing among her favourites, and I forgot it.
Great.
After thinking of a solution, I give a look at my watch: 8:45.
Lina is still sleeping and the cake shop opens in 15 minutes which is largely enough for me to go there on foot.
I don't lose any more time, I take my bag, check if my wallet is in it, and leave the flat after leaving a little note on the table.

London is not at all like my hometown in France. Not that Angers is a little city, but it's still not as crowded as London.
People mostly think it is annoying, but from another angle, I like it more that way, I feel safer.
Indeed, I am sort of a paranoiac, but since I heard about a killer set free in the same city as where I live, it got even worse.
It always happens to me anyway, I sigh.
I can see the shop across the street, I am almost there, when unintentionally, I hit someone.
A policeman.
How pleasant.
He's probably here for the murders case.
-"Excuse me", I say.
-"My apologies", he responds.
At least, he is a gentleman. I see him heading towards other policemen that I've just noticed.

I enter the shop and as soon as I do, I receive a call from Lina, I hang up:
-"Lin-"
-"Where are you ?", she yells, busting my eardrum by the way.
-"Uhm, at the cake sho-"
-"Anyway, just stay where you are and do not come here ! My brother and cousin are in town"
-"Soo ?"
-"They're coming here ! He musn't know I was kicked out by Wyatt."
I've never met Lina's brother. However, she used to tell me he was this severe type of person who always wants things to happen the way he wants. I mean, this is definitely an abominable attitude but I still don't see what could happen if he learns what happened to his sister yesterday. The worst thing he could do is I think find Wyatt and make him regret he was born. Right?
-"Why is that ?"
-"I don't have time to explain you right now."
Please tell me she is joking.
-"Why did you invite them ?", I ask, exasperated.
-"I did not ! It's my brother who imposed it, as always", Lina says, in a weary tone.
-"Okay but why do I have to stay outside, just tell him you invited me."
-"But I don't want to lie..."
-"You will have to lie anyway Lina. Otherwise, what will you tell him when he'll ask where Wyatt is ?"
-"I guess you are right."
I am on the edge of talking when I hear the doorbell through the smartphone.
-"They just arrived ! What am I going to do?"
-"Just open the door, I'm coming."
