I was surprised that Evalie had requested for me personally since I knew for a fact she wanted nothing to do with me. And I seemed to still be blushing from the day before when I slept in Heinry's bed. Of course I didn't nap at all since I was too nervous.

"Don't you look happy." Evalie giggled as she slipped her tea. I stood next to her with my arms folded and sighed. "Eva, what are you--"

"Well, that's no way to talk to your Empress." She cut me off. "I have no intention of respecting you."

"Wow, listen to how proper you speak as you insult me." She rolled her eyes before snapping her fingers and pointing to the chair across from her."

"Sit." She demanded, but I lingered in my spot. She kicked the chair out and huffed, all with a smile on her face. "When I order you to sit, you sit." I reluctantly sat down and held my glare on her as I did.

She burst out laughing  and hit herself in the chest to calm down, "Oh, you should see your face!" She wiped tears as she spoke, "There's no need to be so angry, I just want to talk."

"I have nothing to talk to you about. You ruined my life."

"Hardly. Can't you see you've gotten everything that I want?!"

"Hah. You really think I'm lucky? Yes, I've made friends, and yes, Heinry loves me and not you, but I will never be grateful to you for murdering me and sending me here."

"Why not? Your life is just peachy keen, isn't it?"

"That doesn't change the fact that you sent me here just to torture me, now does it?"

Evalie went silent and closed her eyes with a deep sigh. "This....is not the reason why I called you here. I never intended to argue."

"Well, don't think for a second that I'll have a cordial conversation with you."

Evalie showed her teeth with a large, forced grin, "And I don't expect you to, but I have a proposition." I gritted my teeth and looked around as I tapped my foot anxiously to control my anger.

"I will go back." She declared and my eyes shot up. "You'll what?"

"Don't make me repeat it again," She rolled her eyes, "I'll leave this place and go back to my original life," She said and I stared at her skeptically. "Of course, not for free though." I leaned back a little since I had expected this much.

"Don't become Empress when I leave." I tilted my head at her words which made her laugh, "I don't mean to become Heinry's mistress, I just mean he shouldn't get married to you. I can tweak the novel so marriage isn't necessary if this concerns you. This way, he won't get any other Empress."

I clicked my teeth, "This seems too...superficial. Why would that matter to you after you're gone?" I squinted in confusion.

"Well, I am superficial aren't I?" She sighed, "Here, let me just put it simply. If he can't love me then I'd at least like to go down as the only wife he's ever taken. At least then people will think he loved me." I nodded slowly.

"So, do you agree?" She leaned forward but I still studied her. "Sure.." I said slowly, "Why wouldn't I?" She smiled at my words---a little too much---she was unusually excited.

"Well, then let's seal it with a cheers." She said, holding up her teacup and motioning to the one in front of me. I gulped and frowned. She bellowed in laughter and scooted it to my hand. "I know you hate tea, (y/n), why wouldn't you? It's how you died after all, but, humor me one last time before I drop dead right here and now."

I roughly lifted it and forced back my nauseousness before clinking our glasses and gulping the sweet liquid down. But, then I felt abnormally tired. "Eva.." I grinned as I spoke and went to stand up. "...you're such a.." I started as I saw her smiling at me as I staggered, "...fucking idiot."
