As I was gliding through the calm stream of the Agos River, I noticed all the villagers standing near their hubs who saw me sailing to the town and they waved at me with welcoming smiles as a smile was blessed upon my lips as well.

The sight saddened me that some had to live like this, and wondered how some of them could still stay positive despite the circumstances, but nonetheless, I prayed for good to come to them

The sight saddened me that some had to live like this, and wondered how some of them could still stay positive despite the circumstances, but nonetheless, I prayed for good to come to them.

Soon, my canoe neared the shore, and my cat and I jumped off as I dragged my canoe all the way back to my neighborhood. It was really tiring and aching, especially with the bucket of fish that was in there, but it wasn't that bad since it was a small boat for kids my age, it sort of weighed like a package.

About a few minutes later, it was around 2 p.m. and I arrived at my house and I saw my parents waiting for me.

"I'm here," I said out of breath yet still with a little bit of energy.

My Mom looked a little worried, but mostly happy, due to her walking towards me with open arms.

"[Name]!" she said relieved

"Mom!, uh...I...uh, I can explain-" I remembered that I didn't tell her that I was leaving to fish (even though I told my dad), so I wanted to reassure her I was fine.

"You came back on time, but I didn't know when you would come back, or where you had gone before your-" she said as she embraced me, interrupting my explanation.

"But I told my-"

"Your Dad, yes, that's what I was going to say, he told me where you had been, but I'm glad that you're back home now"

I gave a relieved sigh, that went more smoothly than I thought.

"hi, ligaw na bata (wild child)" My Dad said teasingly as he walked towards me giving me a hug

I chuckled at the nickname my dad called me "Hiya, Dad"

"Did you catch any fish?" He said

"Oh yes, 12 in fact, now I have enough to sell the town."

"Yes well about that, um..."

"What?" I asked getting suspicious, after all, he clearly seemed hesitant.

"Well, why don't we come inside and have lunch, we have much to talk about, and I want to hear everything you've been doing."

"Oh, sure Papi, anything."

Once we all settled in the house, we went to the family dinner table near the kitchen aisle.
