My Dad Understands My Disapointment

So one day I was dragged to an auction that my Dad's work was hosting.

My Dad and I were previously watching Supernatural before we arrived so we were still pretty hyped on that.

He and I always watch it together so he understands my pain.

We were sitting in folding chairs in the back row and we could barely make out the names.

I was scrolling through my Pinterest cause I could honestly care less.

When they called the final name for the raffle I was packing up my stuff so we could leave.

All I heard was, "And the final raffle item goes to...  Jimmy Nobak."

Now I thought they said Novak.

So you probably imagine my reaction.

If you can't...  Here is how it went.

"And the final raffle item goes to... Jimmy Nobak."  The announcer says.

My eyes were wide with disbelief and I didn't know what else to say other than...

"What The Hell!?"

And of course I fell backwards in my chair, still clueless as fuck.

My Dad was laughing the entire time as people were turning around to see what had just happened.

My Mom was off talking to her friends so it was just me and my Dad.

Five minutes later my Dad and I were talking.

"I thought they said Novak too.  Don't worry about it."  He said.

My Dad understands my disappointment.

I am so embarrassed cause yes.  This actually happened to me.  After I fell back into my chair, my Dad did nothing to help me.  But I still love him.  Cause who would I watch Supernatural with?
