The morning at Walkerville Elementary was unusually quiet with Miss Frizzle unexpectedly running late. The students were left in a state of mild confusion and anticipation, wondering about their beloved teacher's whereabouts. Amidst the chatter, Tsume was absorbed in her comic book, twirling her hair and effectively tuning out the noise around her. Suddenly, the classroom door swung open, and Janet stepped in with a ruler in hand, wearing a self-appointed air of authority. "Alright, class, I am the teacher for today, and you are going to do exactly what I tell you," she declared, assuming the role of a substitute teacher.

Tsume, hearing Janet's proclamation, scoffed dismissively and returned her attention to her comic book, showing no interest in acknowledging Janet's self-imposed rule.

Ignoring the eye rolls and murmurs of discontent, Janet commanded, "Everyone, take a seat, sit up straight, and eyes forward!" As she scanned the room to ensure compliance, her gaze landed on Tsume, who was blatantly ignoring her orders.

Walking over with purpose, Janet tapped Tsume's desk with her ruler. "Pay attention," she demanded sharply, a decision that would soon prove to be ill-advised.

Tsume looked up, her eyes flashing with anger. In a swift motion, she stood up, lifting her desk as if to throw it. The classroom erupted into chaos. Ralphie grabbed the desk to prevent any damage, Tim restrained Tsume, and Carlos tried to calm the escalating situation, pleading, "Tsume, calm down, it's not worth it."

As the commotion subsided, Tsume, with a fierce glare, sat on a desk in the front row, facing Janet defiantly. "What makes you think I'm going to listen to a scrawny brat like you?" she challenged.

Janet, trying to salvage her authority, retorted smugly, "Miss Frizzle isn't here right now, and I am the substitute teacher, so you have to listen to me."

Tsume laughed derisively, crossing her legs and leaning back casually. "I'd rather have Mrs. Applebottom as my substitute teacher than you. At least she can handle me, unlike you," she shot back, her disdain clear.

Frustrated and out of her depth, Janet slammed the ruler on the teacher's desk. "Take your seat, Tsume," she growled, but her command fell on deaf ears. Tsume simply smirked at Janet and remained seated on the desk, defiant and unyielding.

The tension in Miss Frizzle's classroom escalated as Janet, trying to impose herself as a substitute teacher, faced increasing resistance from Tsume. The room was charged with the friction of their confrontation, with the other students caught in the middle. Despite Janet's attempts to engage the class with math problems, Tsume remained defiantly uninterested, continuing to sit on her desk, absorbed in her comic book and occasionally popping gum loudly or humming tunes under her breath. Janet's frustration built with each act of defiance, culminating in a moment of anger when she snatched Tsume's comic book and threw it across the room. "What's your problem?" Janet shouted, her patience worn thin.

Tsume reacted instantly, standing up and getting in Janet's face, the desks around her clattering to the floor as she moved. "What is *your* problem? This is not even your class, get out of here!" Tsume retorted, pointing vehemently towards the door, her voice filled with anger.

Janet, undeterred and arms crossed, shot back, "I don't have to listen to anything you say. I am the teacher today." Her stance was defiant, although the authority she claimed felt hollow.

Tsume, hands on her hips, responded with equal fire, "Yeah, wanna be." The classroom was thick with tension, students exchanging uneasy glances, unsure how to react to the unfolding drama.

Carlos, always the peacemaker, intervened in an attempt to calm Tsume down. "Tsume, please, just try to listen to Janet," he urged gently. But Tsume was far beyond listening.

"If you ever try to side with Janet being the teacher, I'll make sure you learn a hard lesson in obedience," Tsume warned Carlos sharply, her frustration now directed at him for his perceived betrayal. Ralphie and Keisha exchanged looks, understanding the deep-seated animosity between Janet and Tsume. While Janet often backed down in previous confrontations, her refusal to do so this time perplexed them. "Sometimes Janet does back down, but I just don't understand why she won't this time," Ralphie whispered to Keisha, who nodded in agreement.

As the argument reached a fever pitch, the classroom door swung open, revealing Miss Frizzle, who had returned just in time to witness the chaos. Her presence was like a switch that momentarily paused the conflict. "What on Earth is happening here?" Miss Frizzle exclaimed, her eyes sweeping over the disarray.

Following the explosive altercation between Tsume and Janet, the classroom atmosphere was thick with tension. Miss Frizzle, always adept at navigating educational crises, recognized the urgency of restoring peace and understanding among her students.

With Janet's failed attempt to assume control still hanging heavy in the air, Tsume's fury had nearly boiled over. As Carlos and Ralphie struggled to hold her back, the rest of the class looked on in disbelief, their usual vibrant learning environment turned into a battleground of words and near physical clashes.

Recognizing the need to intervene, Miss Frizzle called the class to order. "Everyone, please take your seats," she said firmly, her voice cutting through the chaos with surprising calmness. She turned to Janet, thanking her for her initiative but making it clear her approach was not conducive to a supportive classroom atmosphere. "Janet, I appreciate your willingness to step in, but we must find ways to lead that build up rather than divide," Miss Frizzle explained.

Janet, somewhat chastened, explained her actions to the class. "I just wanted to try to fill in Miss Frizzle's shoes until she got here, but things didn't go as planned," she admitted, glancing nervously at Tsume.

Tsume, still seething but now more controlled, responded when Miss Frizzle asked her to explain her resistance to Janet's authority. "I don't listen to wanna-be children, especially one that looks like a Carrot Top rip-off of Harry Potter," she retorted, her comment eliciting a mixture of gasps and stifled laughter from her classmates.

Janet, trying to defend her dignity, shot back, "You need to learn some respect. With that attitude, you'll never get anywhere."

Unfazed, Tsume stood up, slamming her hands on the desk. "You got it twisted. I'm not the one who needs a new attitude. Maybe you missed it, but I'm the hashtag devil, and I will do nothing less than what I please," she declared boldly, her fiery spirit undimmed.

Her words escalated into a poetic rant about independence and strength, leaving Janet frustrated and the rest of the class awestruck. "Sorry, everyone who's attending, but since when are girls told they can't fight? She's long past trending. Sorry, Janet, but I ain't swiping right. You have no control over me," Tsume continued, her voice resonant with defiance.

As Tsume marched up to the front of the class, In the heat of the confrontation, Tsume's passionate declarations rang through the classroom, challenging not just Janet but the expectations placed upon her as well. Her words resonated with a mix of defiance and self-assurance, painting a picture of a young woman unafraid to stand her ground.

"You just act this way for attention," Janet retorted, her voice tinged with frustration and perhaps a hint of envy at the strong reactions Tsume elicited from everyone in the room.

Undeterred, Tsume leaned in closer, her presence imposing. "You're just mad because you can't command the respect that you see me getting," she countered sharply. "And yes, I could eat you for breakfast on the battlefield!"

The classroom was tense, with other students looking on, unsure whether to intervene or let the drama unfold. Carlos, ever the peacemaker, stepped in, attempting to defuse the situation before it could escalate further. "Tsume, let's just cool it down, okay? This isn't helping anyone," he urged gently, placing a cautious hand on her shoulder.

Miss Frizzle, observing the exchange, decided it was time to steer the energy towards a more constructive lesson. "Alright, everyone, let's take a deep breath," she announced, her voice calm yet firm enough to command attention. "Tsume and Janet, I appreciate your passion, but let's channel that energy into something positive." In the end even though Tsume and Janet didn't win whatever control that Janet was trying to get Tsume was just happy that she felt like she got her point across and didn't care if Janet even tried again to try to bark up authorities she was ready for anything
