I was laying on my futon, having closed my eyes, and about to doze off when I felt someone's hand slide through my hair. "Hey, Victor-kun," I turn my head over, looking at the bright pink-red hair of Chigiri, whose bed was set beside mine "The team is wondering what your weapon is."
"Uhhh..." I sit up, leaning on my forearms "I don't really know what my weapon is, sorry." I close my eyes and lean back my head as Chigiri takes his hand away. I pout as I watch him curl up into a ball.
'His hands feel nice... I probably would have fallen asleep if he kept rubbing my head,' I make a small face before laying beside him with a sigh. "Well, okay, Victor-kun doesn't know. Last is... Chigiri?"
"I don't wanna say." I open my eyes as he says that. 'The tone in his voice seems a bit too sad, did he get injured and his skill was restrained?'
"I know, sorry... but I don't wanna say."
"What the heck? let's just leave the selfish princess alone and move on." Raichi complains as I keep staring at Chigiri.
"He's not selfish, something must have happened before this and restrained it, like an injury," I pop up everyone's eyes moving towards me. "We can't force anyone to say anything, so don't put the blame on him, especially if it was an injury that cause him to not be able to say his weapon."
'Bingo,' I had felt Chigiri stiffen slightly when I said that, though Raichi did look away guiltily as I stared at him.
"Oh well... Anyway, by thinking of what our most powerful weapons are, we can create a team with that as the foundation. Ego told us that's the way we can win." Snake face said. "Basically, I think the most important thing is How well we can utilize our weapons!"
"But if we all just do whatever we want, won't I end up the same as last game?" Iemon speaks up, having a good opinion of what snake face just said.
"Can we really win by listening to that guy? Gagamaru asks. "Even if we know our weapons, it's pointless if we're still not working as one." Chestnut hair speaks up.
I lay my head on top of Chigiri's shoulder, looking at him from the corner of my eye to see if he shows even a little bit of discomfort. "I hope I didn't strike a nerve, sorry Chigiri..." I apologized, thinking that he would be a little bit angry at what I said.
"It's fine, you don't need to apologize." Chigiri gazed at me before moving his hand and placing it on my cheek, most likely feeling it heat up a little.
"Wait a sec, no... That might work. This way everyone would have an equal chance..." Snake face kept mumbling to himself, thinking of a solution.
"What is it, Kuon?" Raichi asked. "With this plan, I think... We could win." I perked up a little, more interested by the mention of winning. Ego's words came rushing back into my head, 'Destroyer... Revolution... Goal...'
"We'll go with 'Operation: Me, next 9!'" Snake face exclaimed."
"What the fuck..." Chigiri snorted as I whispered.
"I see... I think it's good."
"Yeah, we don't have any other choice!"
'Why are they agreeing to this... It's an okay idea but, the name...'
In the end, we would agree to go with that idea and then go to sleep. I stared at the ceiling, before hearing something rustle beside me. I look over to my left, seeing Chigiri's figure fist the futon and grip his pillow tightly in the dark. I scoot myself closer to him in worry and place my hand on top of the closest one. He doesn't calm down as quickly as books always say.
I place my pillow closer to his futon, not getting close enough to be in his personal space. My eyebrows furrow as I hold his hand, rubbing my thumb against his wrist. Chigiri slowly starts to calm down, my ministration on his hand slowly coming to a stop as I close my eyes and fall asleep.
