Hermione

It's been an hour since Clara found out she had been reborn as Hermione Granger, and she's got to admit... It was a very big ass shock for herself. She couldn't help but sit on her hospital bed, frozen in shock for hours until Poppy, the nurse, told her to go to the feast.

She walked numbly down the halls till she got to the Great Hall.

You must be wondering how she found her way there. Well, it's simple really. When she woke up as Hermione she had also gotten Hermione's memories. So she knew a LOT about Hermione that no one knew before. Like the fact Hermione had a fraternal twin sister that no one talked about who also went to their school. That fact threw her for a BIG loop.

When she finally went through the doors she put on a big smile and ran to Harry and Ron, hugging them and talking about how they 'solved the case' before she hugged a few others, including Ginny and her new sister, Millie.

She spent the rest of the dinner listening to the boys tell everyone about what they did to figure everything out. And when Hagrid came in she was the one who cheered the loudest.

As the days passed Hermione spent the time trying to make it seem normalish, until she could finally get home.

The rest of the final term passed in a haze of blazing sunshine. Hogwarts was back to normal with only a few, small differences — Defense Against the Dark Arts classes were canceled ("but we've had plenty of practice at that anyway," Ron told Hermione) and Lucius Malfoy had been sacked as a school governor. Draco was no longer strutting around the school as though he owned the place. On the contrary, he looked resentful and sulky. On the other hand, Ginny Weasley was perfectly happy again.

And also Hermione was getting closer to her sister, Millie. Apparently before they weren't that close because Hermione always acted better than Millie- something she had done with everyone. But the whole 'Hermione almost dying' thing gave them a chance at being real sisters and everything. So with Hermione's new attitude change, and everything, they became a lot closer. Including the fact that Millie had started hanging around Hermione and her friends so... That helped a lot too.

Too soon, it was time for the journey home on the Hogwarts Ex- press. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Millie, Fred, George, and Ginny got a compartment to themselves. They made the most of the last few hours in which they were allowed to do magic before the holidays. They played Exploding Snap, set off the very last of Fred and George's Filibuster fireworks, and practiced disarming each other by magic. Hermione was getting very good at it, even with just a few days of practice with it.

They were almost at King's Cross when Harry remembered something.

"Ginny — what did you see Percy doing, that he didn't want you to tell anyone?" He asked, causing everyone to curiously turn to her.

"Oh, that," said Ginny, giggling. "Well — Percy's got a girlfriend."

Fred dropped a stack of books on George's head.

"What?"

"It's that Ravenclaw prefect, Penelope Clearwater," said Ginny. "That's who he was writing to all last summer. He's been meeting her all over the school in secret. I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upset when she was — you know — attacked. You won't tease him, will you?" she added anxiously.

"Wouldn't dream of it," said Fred, who was looking like his birthday had come early.

"Definitely not," said George, snickering.

The Hogwarts Express slowed and finally stopped.

Harry pulled out his quill and a bit of parchment and turned to Ron, Hermione, and Millie.

"This is called a telephone number," he told Ron, scribbling it twice, tearing the parchment in two, and handing it to them. One for Ron and one for the girls. "I told your dad how to use a telephone last summer — he'll know. Call me at the Dursleys', okay? I can't stand another two months with only Dudley to talk to. . . ."

"Your aunt and uncle will be proud, though, won't they?" asked Hermione, even though she already knew the answer, as they got off the train and joined the crowd thronging toward the enchanted barrier. "When they hear what you did this year?"

"Proud?" said Harry. "Are you crazy? All those times I could've died, and I didn't manage it? They'll be furious. . . ." Hermione and Millie snickered to themselves at the incredulous tone in his voice.

And together they walked back through the gateway to the Muggle world.
