Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen are driving through the Sea of Rust, which is now in ruins. They're patrolling looking for any fugitive Decepticons. Smokescreen looks around the destroyed city as he and Ultra Magnus drive.
"Well, someone may want to think about renaming the Sea of Rust. I'm just sayin'. Though I was hoping more of us would be rushing back here to see it. You know, now
that it's all bright and shiny." Smokescreen says to Ultra Magnus.
"Cybertron will populate in time, kid. You have to remember, refugees could be returning from light-years away." Ultra Magnus pointed out.
He dectects movement on his radar.
"Movement. Two contacts at .84."
He and Smokescreen drive near an alleyway. They transform back into their robot forms and ready their ion blasters.
"Proceed with caution." Ultra Magnus instructed.
Smokescreen nods in response. They peek to see two gnarly-like robots with yellow optics. One is grey and other is dark blue. The two gnarly-like robots turn around to Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus.
"My name is Ultra Magnus. Are you Autobot or Decepticon?" Ultra Magnus asked.
The grey robot chuckled while the dark blue one threw away an object.
"Neither." the grey robot replied darkly.
He and the dark blue robot transform into their beast modes.
"Predacons!" Ultra Magnus realized.
He and Smokescreen start to shoot at the two Predacons, who charge towards them. Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus leaps out of the way. Smokescreen backflips away from dark blue Predacon's claws and jaws.
"Catch me if you can, Preda-Dork!" Smokescreen challenged.
The dark blue Predacon transforms back into its robot form.
"A spunky Autobot. It'll make it even more fun to rip you into scrap." the dark blue robot sneered.
He transforms back into its beast mode and continues to attack Smokescreen. Smokescreen tries to roundhouse kick the dark blue Predacon, but his leg gets snatched in its jaws. Smokescreen yelps as he's shaken like a ragdoll before being sent flying against some rubble.
Ultra Magnus shoots at the grey Predacon, but to no effect. The grey Predacon whacks Ultra Magnus aside with it's tail. Ultra Magnus skids against the ground and continues to shoot at the grey Predacon. He grabs onto its tails as it flies in the air.
The grey Predacon roars as it tries to shake the Autobot Lieutenant off. It breathes fire at Ultra Magnus, but missed. Ultra Magnus climb onto its back and punches it's face, causing it to crash against a building. Smokescreen shoots at the dark blue Predacon, but to no effect.
The dark blue Predacon tackles Smokescreen against the ground, grabs his leg with it's jaws, and hurl him against the building. Large chunks of rubble lands on the blue and yellow Autobot. Smokescreen grunts as he tries to free himself from the rubble. The dark blue Predacon opens its mouth as it starts channel fire through its throat.
After punching the grey Predacon, Ultra Magnus noticed that Smokescreen is in trouble. The dark blue Predacon breathes a stream of fire at Smokescreen, seemingly broiling him alive.
"SMOKESCREEN!" Ultra Magnus called out.
He aims his ion blaster at the dark blue Predacon. The grey Predacon grabs Ultra Magnus in its jaws and brutally slams him against the ground. The dark blue Predacon stops broiling the rubble. It snarls, thinking that Smokescreen is toast. Just then, Smokescreen phases out of the building.
