Katsuki pov:
Right there. A green tuft of hair was moving inside the train. Katsuki nearly felt a smile on his face. Key word: nearly.
He felt confident enough, even though there were a hundred doubts whirling inside his head.
Katsuki followed. Trying to look ,as if it was just like any other school day. He walked in the maschine and looked around, trying to spot the greenett.
The sun was just on its way up, bathing the train in an orange glow. People were finding seats and gripping the handles, looking either bored or urgent.
Katsuki looked over them and finally spotted the boy he was looking for. He was sitting in front of one of the big windows, music in his ears and looking just as cute as ever.
Katsuki took a deep breath and forced himself to walk over there. You would have assumed that Katsuki would be way more confident and forward because of his popularity. The thing is that people always come to HIM, not the other way around.
So the greenett here was very new waters and Katsuki was going to test it. All the courage he had built up to this moment right now seemed to disappear.
Shit, okay Katsuki. You got this, he thought to himself and took a seat next to his goal.
The boy didn't notice the blond's presence and kept looking the other way. Now Katsuki, say something. He opened his mouth, but no words came out.
He closed it again looking away. Maybe he should have thinked this more thoroughly though.
Maybe I could ask about the music he's listening to?
Katsuki shook his head, no. He looked over again and was surprised to see eyes staring back at him. Katsuki sucked in a breath as his eyes collided with green emerald.
The boy looked just as surprised as he felt and whipped his head around as if he had been slapped. Katsuki gulped and was determined to get his attention again.
He reached out his hand and before he could change his mind poked the greenetts shoulder. Slowly the boy moved his head towards Katsuki and silently took out his earbuds.
He looked up, eyes questioning and face a little red. Annoyance? Katsuki guessed and suddenly felt embarrassed. Words stuck to his throat and his mouth felt like it was filled with sand.
Shit, I annoyed him. Should I apologize? Hurry say something before he ignores me again.
"C-" Katsuki cleared his throat. "Can I have your number?"
Smooth Katsuki, real fucking smooth.
Asking for someone's number when you don't even know the other's name. Real fucking embarrasing.
A knot of bare humiliation formed in his stomach and it got a lot worse when green eyes widened. It looked like disbelief and then formed into something that looked like 'No fucking way'.
Eyes narrowing and then he got up, took his bag and moved to another seat. Away from Katsuki. The blond was a mix between embarrassment, guilt, and sadness.

Izuku pov:
As Izuku sat down he took out his earbuds and found a song that mirrored his mood. ¨He was happy and content, looking forward to seeing both Uraraka and in some weird way, Katsuki.
The blond always came around two minutes before him.
The boy was always close, but also kept his distance, which Izuku was okay with. He liked his own space and he figured Katsuki liked that too. As far as Izuku saw, the popular boy liked space, silence and being in his own world.
Who knew what happened behind those crimson red eyes. He always had a scowl on his face and looked most of the time like he had swallowed something sour. Izuku had never seen him outside that, maybe because he always was with Uraraka during breaks.
Izuku was so absorbed in his own mind that he didn't notice the blond taking a seat beside him. The greenett then moved his head to the other side to see if he could spot a familiar blond. What he saw got his heart to speed up.
Katsuki had placed himself beside him and before Izuku could react he whipped his head around, locking his eyes with Izukus. The crimson eyes glowed in the orange light from the sun and made them catch a curious fire.
Izuku knew he could spend hours looking into them, not getting bored once. Katsuki looked just as surprised as Izuku and he looked away hard, heat rushing to his cheeks.
What happened to distance?! Izuku yelled inside and it felt like his heart was about to explode. He took a few deep breaths and managed to calm down. It's just Katsuki, Izuku sees him every day, no big deal.
The greenett then felt a gentle poke to shoulder and he forced himself not to flinch. Katsuki obviously wanted something from him. Izuku felt too scared and nervous to not respond to the touch.
He just prayed that he didn't look like a complete nervous mess. Izuku turned around, taking the music out in the process and looked up at the blond. Katsuki looked calm and collected. Everything Izuku wasn't and then to the greenetts horror he opened his mouth.
Wait wait WAIT. I am not prepared for this. He wants to talk?! Think, think, think. How should I respond?
Katsuki cleared his throat and what he said next got Izuku's eyes to expand to breaking point.
"Can I have your number?"
His voice was ruff, raspy and deep. Izuku swore he felt his insides turn to jelly at the sound of it and he instantly panicked.
His eyes narrowed trying to hold it down, but he knew if he didnt get away soon it would end in either tears or squeaks. No he wasn't going to embarrass himself in front of the most popular boy at school.
So Izuku did the only thing he could come up with. He stood up, taking his bag and walking over to a different seat. His face felt hot as he sat down and he buried it in his hands, heart pounding.
He suppressed a whine and mostly wanted to roll down on the floor and sulk.
This day was going to suck.
