Izuku pov:
Izuku felt bad. Like real bad. Stomach churned with guilt from the train and how he left Katsuki. But it was still better than bursting into tears before him.
If he had done that, Izuku don't want to think about it.
But there was one thought that seemed to be set on repeat in his mind.
Why did Katsuki want my number?
What did it mean? Izuku didn't wanna get his hopes up too much so he instead forced himself upon his homework. Him and Uraraka had placed themselves in the big school library. It was always quiet here except for the low murmurs of other students.
Izuku was pretty sure he had been staring at the same assignment for over five minutes now. And he was also pretty sure that his friend was getting worried.
"Hey, Deku you okay?" she asked, brown concerned eyes looking at him. "You have been a little off lately"
Deku was a nickname from his old school. The story of how he had gotten it wasn't pretty. He had told Uraraka the story and he had given her the permission to use it.
She thought it sounded like a hero name and now Izuku had grown used to it.
"Well um" Izuku looked up and fidgeted with his pencil between his fingers, suddenly becoming nervous. He hadn't told her about how he and Katsuki go to school at the same times and places.
"I go to school by the train which you already know, but I may have left out a little detail"
"And what's that?" Uraraka asked, waiting patiently. She knew Izuku had a fear of annoying people with everything related to him.
The boy looked away. "Bakugou also takes the train"
He looked over at her again. She just shook her head, not catching the hint. Izuku took a breath. "I mean he takes the same train as me at the same time as me"
This got her eyes to widen. She slammed her hands on the table and rose to her feet while yelling "WHAT!"
Izuku flinched violently and hurriedly chanted a row of sorrys.
"Why didn't you tell me? Wait, are you friends with him? Does he-" Uraraka began spilling question after question on Izuku who just shook his head.
"No he just talked to me for the first time today"
"What did he say?"
Izuku looked down. "He asked for my number" A blush forming on his face.
One side of him hoped Uraraka would help him, the other side was afraid that she would say something embarrassing.
When she didn't say anything Izuku got even more nervous than he already was.
"So uh. Wha-"
"Deku, hear me out. When a hot boy asks for your number what do you do?" she sat down again, raising her eyebrows expectantly. Looking oddly like a mother asking her child something.
Izuku wasn't sure what to answer so he narrowed his eyes and tried to answer. "you give... it to.. them?" It sounded more like a question than an answer.
Uraraka nodded, looking proud. "Exactly. Unless they look like a creep, then don't"
She then got out her school bag and rummaged around in it, clearly looking for something. A bright look on her face told Izuku she had found what she was looking for.
She dumped a notepad on the table in front of the greenett. Izuku had a slight idea what she was thinking and gulped. He looked up with wide eyes.
"I ca-"
"Yes you can," Uraraka interrupted, arms crossed. "And you will"

Katsuki pov:
Katsuki was sitting in the train. Yesterday had been one big whirling mess of thoughts. He was pretty sure Kirishima and Kaminari had been getting more and more worried about his spacy behavior.
Katsuki had been thinking about what had happened on the train.
Clearly the most embarrassing thing he had ever done and said.
"Can I have your number?"
The fuck?!
What had happened with "Hey my name is Katsuki Bakugou"
The blond kept on scolding himself. Telling himself he should have thought it through and should have been 100% ready. Because what the fuck was that? "Can I have your number?"
Katsukis friends hadn't asked or forced him to tell them what was wrong and that he had been thankful for.
If he had told them about the greenett they would possibly have said something about "I'll be your wingman dude" or something humiliating like that.
The blond buried his face in his hands and groaned. He really didn't want to see the boy today. What if the greenett said something to him? He was properly angry about Katsukis forwardness.
The beeping sound from the train doors hived the blond out of his thoughts and he looked up. Crimson red eyes catching a panting greenett walking inside.
His chest heaved and he gasped for air. Katsuki guessed he must have runned to the train. The boy looked up, cheeks rosy, making his freckles stand out. His green eyes seemed to search for something, or someone.
Katsuki looked away before those eyes could lock with him. His ears caught footsteps coming his way and his heartbeat sped up. Then the sound of a throat being cleared sounded and Katsuki looked up.
The greenett was standing before him, looking away and with a hand outstretched. Katsukis eyes moved from his face, to the hand and back again.
A folded paper was between the boy's fingers. The blond took the paper from him, fingers touching slightly. Before Katsuki could even open his mouth the greenett scurried off.
He sat down at a couple of seats a little way away, back facing the blond. Katsuki looked down at the folded paper, swallowing a lump in his throat before slowly opening it.
The train had begun moving, making light dance across the words and numbers. The handwriting was a little ruff, but readable.
Katsukis eyes widened when he finally figured out what the boy had given him. The paper held his number and standing under, his name.
Izuku Midoriya.
Katsuki could feel the smirk forming on his face. Maybe he had a chance after all. And if that Izuku Midoriya walked away again Katsuki would fucking follow.
Well then. Let the game begin.
