34. I Love You

Inaya's POV

"For you i can!" he whispered,

I could feel the possessiveness lacing his voice.

I felt myself going weak due to the intensity, his grip tightened on my waist and i held his shoulders for support.

No other words were exchanged as we made an intense eye contact. I felt myself drowning in his deep ocean blue eyes. The way he looked at me with so much emotions in his eyes made my heart flutter.

Our moment broke when we heard murmurs from nearby.

Rayan hid my face in his chest as some girls passed by.

He moved back leaving his hold on my waist and i felt the warmth from earlier going away as cold breeze caressed me.

"Let's go back" i nodded and followed him.

I took my seat but my cheeks were still flushed from our previous proximity.

Luckily, others looked too busy or drunk to even notice.

This was totally not how i expected this dinner.

A small smile ghosted over my face as i replayed his earlier words.

How can he be so possessive and sweet at the same time?

He's like one of the fictional men from my books. Even better! I thought only fictional men were good until i met him. He is not like them, but even better. I still can't believe he's real.

"Sweetheart!" i heard his voice calling me from behind.

I turned around to look and saw the most gorgeous smile of his. And those dimples..!

With a huge smile of my own, i ran upto him launching myself on him.

He picked me up in his arms, and twirled us around causing me to giggle.

He looked at me with his captivating blue eyes. He pushed back a strand of hair behind my ear as i stared at him with curious eyes.

He started to lean in closer and i gulped nervously. I raised myself up on my toes to match his height, and leaned in too.

We were just inches apart. Leaning in more closer and closer-

"Inaya!" i flinched when lily suddenly shouted.

"Why are you shouting?" i looked at her frowning.

"I've been calling you for ten minutes, wjere are you lost!?" she exclaimed.

That's when i realised that i was.. Daydreaming!? And that too about him!

Uff.. i think i've gone crazy because of him.

"Sorry.. what is it?" i shook my thoughts away and tried to focus.

She placed some files infront of me, "Can you get boss's signatures on these for me?"

"Why don't you do it yourself?" i raised my eyebrows.

"Please i'm in no mood" she pouted and i chuckled.

"Ok ok" i got up taking the files with me as she muttered a 'thank you.'

I pressed the button to his floor as i entered the elevator and waited.

After reaching, i knocked at the door of his cabin and soon heard his voice.

I entered and saw that he was busy talking to someone on phone.
