Ch - 10

After every thing was setteled Xuran was only waiting for the day zombie virus broke out , a lot of people had fever most of them turned into zombies , but a very few awakened some supernatural powers .

He was wondering if he and the kids could awaken supernatural powers as well.

Although in the book , protagonist had two powers but he wasn't very sure if that would still happen .

In the book protagonist had wood and mental powers .

His powers were very strong !!

Everything was going well but on 31st March around 5:00 am in the morning  there were a bunch of people ringing bell at the farmhouse , at first Xuran hesitated to open the gate but then he finally opened it .

He saw a few people in soldier's uniform , carrying a few injured sodier.

One of them came forward to talk .

Guy 1 " Hello , we are from army and we came here regarding some work but an accident happend on the way back and this area is very isolated , I wonder if you could let us stay here for the time being ."

Xuran did not answer immediately .

After thinking for a minute he agreed but they had to leave on 2nd April in morning .

Soldiers did not want to but they had no choice , so they agreed .

After all treating their friends was the most important thing for the time being.

Zombie virus would break around 10 pm on 2 nd April , and Xuran did not wanted to have strangers in his house at that time.

There were total five soldiers , out of which three were injured.

Xuran invited them in the house and bought a medical kit with all the things they might need .

Soldiers were gratefull for this and started treating their companions .

The soldier who talked to him at the door introduced himself as Xiumin .

Another one introduced himself as Xiao Zhan .

Others were Cheng Yi , Lu Shiyi , Zhang Yichen .

Upon hearing the name Zhang Yichen he looked over to that person , remembering ,  the villian in the novel also had the same name .

Zhang Yichen was tall , handsome and had deep physical features.

Zhang Yichen also look at him their eyes met , Xuran withdrew his gaze back to Xuimin and introduced himself .

He asked them to wash up untill he prepared the breakfast and showed them the rooms .

They washed up and went downstairs to wait .

While waiting on the dinning table They saw a little girl running down the stairs and hugging Xuran .

Xiao Ling " Good morning dada ."
she greeted sweetly!!

Xuran " Good morning sweetheart ! "
"did you sleep well ? "

Xiao Ling " Yes "

Xuran " where are your brothers , go wake them up and get ready for break fast ."

Xiao Ling nodded .

Xiao Ling " Dad who are those people in our house ?"

Xuran " they are our guest and will stay here for the time being , so behave well , alright ! "

Xiao Ling " yes "

She ran upstairs to wake up her brothers and tell them they had guests at home and they must behave well and not embaress their father.

The soldiers on the table were stunned .

They saw Xuran talking so sweetly to that little girl , unlike how he talked to them in cold voice .

And the little girl called him dad .

They could not believe the young man here seemingly even younger then them , was already a father .

A few minutes later food was ready and Xuran finished setting all the plates on table.

Xiao Ling , Xu Huan and Lu Han came down stairs and greeted him good morning .

They also sat in their respective chairs near their father and glanced at the guests from time to time , looking curiousely.

They all sat down to have breakfast , he made some light congee , soup ,fish soup , fresh juice , meat dishes , vegetable dishes and scrambled eggs .

He made the food using well water as always .

Soldiers were hungry and the food in front of them was very appetizing , they ate quickly , after eating they felt as if all their fatigue was washed away.

Even Zhang Yichen , who was most heavily injured felt much better after eating breakfast.
