While on road they suddenly encountered a mutant plant , they almost got beaten by the vines several times , but Yichen used his corrosion ability to kill it , and gave the crystal core to Xuren .

During this time , Xuran , Yichen and Xiumin reached the third level , while others are on level two .

Xuran knew this was due to well water but , he could not explain this to others so , he decided to teach them how to use crystal cores .

After the fight was over at night he told them about the use of crystal core and explained them how to use it in the future .

Xuran " keep it in your palm and try absorbing power from it , focus your powers on the crystal core ."

Xuran " but their is a limit to how much you can absorb in a day .

And he gave a few crystal cores to everyone to practice .

He asked them not to mention it others for the time being .

They agreed .

They had a feast again tonight .

Around the end of May, they were very close to the Capital base , it would take around two more days .

But the zombies in city were much more than country side .

Before entering the base they again agreed to reveal three super powers at level one .

And they would leave the RV to Xuran .

They grabbed two cars from road , put some supplies in the car and set off , it was only two hours of ride left .

During this time Xuran also learned to create a shield with his mental power and control someone or a zombie of lower level .

By the time they entered the base it was already evening , they spent the night in waiting area .

Next morning they went to , turn in supplies and collect points .

Xuran gave a pendent of 20 cubic metre to Yichen and a bracelet of 10 cubic metre to Xiumin .

They already had a lot of supplies this time.

So , they happily gave up  some supplies for points .

They rented two Appartments , One for Xuran and kids , while other for Yichen and his team .

Yichen was a little sad knowing he could not sleep with Xuran anymore .

Xuran invited them to eat in his appartment . While they all happily agreed .

After resting for a day , they went to find , Grandpa Gu .

After asking they got to know he is one of the seniors in the base .

They entered a room where someone had already informed about their arrival to Commander Gu .

Grandpa Gu enterd the room and first greeted Xuran .

Grandpa Gu " Xiaoran , how are you ? ."
He asked hugging Xuran .

Xuran " i am fine grandpa ."
" Yichen and his team also looked after us during this time "

Grandpa Gu turned to look at Yichen and said " thank you , you all kids for looking after xiaoran and my great grand kids ."

Yichen " no need commander Gu ,  Xuran also helped us equally . "

Grandpa Gu " Just call me grandpa like xiaoran ."

Yichen " alright , grandpa "

then he turned around to talk to kids happily .

Kids also obediently called him grandpa .

After chatting grandapa Gu asked " xiaoran why don't you move with me , it must have been hard looking after kids while fighting with zombies ."

Xuran " there is no need for that grandpa , kids also have powers ."

grandpa Gu was surprised to hear this .

Xuran " sure , the how about we invite you to dinner at our home "

grandpa gu happily agreed .

That day Xuran made a grand dinner for everyone and also added more well water for gandpa gu .

Now everyone knew he was commander Gu's grandson .

One day Yichen came to him and asked if he wanted to go and take a look at stalls to buy anything for himself or kids .

Xuran agreed , and they went down while walking , he felt someone running in his direction and that person was about to grab him .

He dogged the hands and moved towards Yichen .

Yichen also grabbed his hands to support him in case , someone attacks .

When Xuran turned around he saw it was none other that Han Yanyan the female lead .

She looked at Xuran with innocent eyes but when she saw Yichen her eyes turned hostile and she screamed at Yichen .

" what are you doing here , get out of here and let go of Xuran , why are you still alive "

Listening to such words Xuran frowned , and turned to look at Yichen who had an extreamely cold face at the moment .

Yichen then lookd at Xuran and asked " are you all right ? "

seeing their interaction Han Yanyan said to xuran .
" Xuran what are you doing with this bastard , he is just a bastard without a family , his father hates him and his mother is dead ,"

" and he just wants to ruin my family of three "

listening to this , Yichen was a little nervous because Han Yanyan would always take away everything from him .

He was a little scared thinking she would make Xuran hate him.

Xuran " enough! " he shouted at Han Yanyan.

she was starteled by his voice .
But soon calmed down and said .
