Geetanjali was sleeping in her bedroom. It was morning time. Slowly, she woke up from her sleep with a beautiful smile. Blinking her eyes to adjust to the sunlight, she got up from her bed. She walked towards the window, drew the curtains aside, and took a deep breath, smiling softly. Turning towards the washroom, she got freshened up and then went downstairs to the dining room.
There, she found only the servants, not her family members. Everything had changed since her childhood when she lost her mother. Her father no longer cared much about her. Soon, she was going to get married into the Surayvanshi family, a match decided by her father. She had no objections. She was ready for this marriage because she loved and respected her father deeply.
She sat down at the table, absently stirring her tea. Her mind wandered back to the days when her mother was alive. The house was filled with warmth and laughter then, but now it felt cold and empty. She missed her mother terribly but had learned to find strength within herself.
Geetanjali knew her father's decision was final. Despite his distance, she believed he wanted the best for her. Marrying into the Surayvanshi family would bring stability and perhaps even happiness. She was determined to make the best of it, honoring her father's wishes.
As the day progressed, Geetanjali busied herself with wedding preparations, trying to keep her thoughts positive. She knew that life would change significantly once she became part of a new family. Despite the uncertainty, she remained hopeful, trusting that her love and respect for her father would guide her through this new chapter in her life.
She was preparing for her marriage and needed to go to the temple for blessings. Getting ready, she went in her car. Upon arriving, she got out of the car and walked towards the temple stairs. Climbing up, she approached the idols in the temple dedicated to Bhagwan Shree Krishna. She joined her hands and prayed for her father's well-being, blessings for her future relationship, and for her married life which was about to start soon.
Soon, it was her wedding day, the day when she was going to start her new life.
The wedding day dawned bright and early, the air filled with the hum of excitement and the scent of fresh flowers. Geetanjali awoke with a flutter of anticipation, knowing that this day marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life. She moved through the rituals of the morning with a calm resolve, her heart steadying with each passing moment.
Her bridal joda , a vibrant red adorned with intricate gold embroidery, shimmered in the sunlight streaming through her bedroom window. As her house servants and helped her with the final touches, Geetanjali caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. The reflection staring back at her was one of a poised young woman ready to embrace the future.
When she descended the stairs, her father was waiting at the bottom. For a brief moment, their eyes met, and in his gaze, Geetanjali saw a mixture of pride and a hint of regret. They exchanged no words, but the silence spoke volumes. She was nervous but happy to fulfill her father's wish.
