It was morning when Geetanjali awoke from her sleep. Abhimanyu still hadn't come.

She glanced at the empty space beside her and felt a pang of loneliness. The sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room, but it did little to lift her spirits. She wondered where he could be and why he hadn't returned home.

Rising from the bed, she wrapped a shawl around herself and walked to the window. As she gazed out at the bustling streets below, a sense of unease settled over her.

She decided to get ready because it was her rasoi ki rasam, an important post-wedding ritual. Determined to uphold tradition despite her worries, she chose a beautiful saree from her wardrobe.

The saree was a rich maroon color with intricate gold embroidery, As she draped it around herself, she couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship. The delicate fabric felt comforting, a small source of strength amidst her concerns.

Geetanjali carefully applied her makeup, accentuating her eyes and adding a touch of vermilion to her forehead. She adorned herself with matching jewelry, including the gold bangles that chimed softly with her every movement. Her reflection in the mirror showed a picture of grace and elegance, but behind her composed exterior, her mind was still on Abhimanyu.

She got down from the stairs and went straight to the family altar to start her puja. She began singing a devotional song in her beautiful voice, filling the house with a sense of peace and reverence. The other family members, awakened by her melodious voice, came and stood behind her, joining her in the morning prayers.

After finishing the puja, she turned and gave the aarti to everyone. Each family member received it with closed eyes and folded hands, feeling the sacred energy of the ritual. She then bent in front of Sajal, her mother-in-law, to take her blessings. Sajal placed a hand on her head and said, "Khush raho"(Stay happy") with a warm smile.

Geetanjali smiled back and then moved towards her father-in-law, Pratap, and took his blessings. He nodded approvingly, a hint of pride in his eyes. Next, she approached her brother-in-law, Shlok, and his wife, Vidhya, and took their blessings as well. They smiled and wished her well.

With the blessings and warm wishes of her new family, Geetanjali made her way to the kitchen for her rasoi ki rasam. This ritual was important, symbolizing her role in the household and her ability to bring the family together through her cooking.

In the kitchen, she felt a mix of nerves and excitement. She chose to prepare a traditional feast, showcasing dishes that her mother had taught her. As she worked, her hands moved deftly, chopping vegetables, grinding spices, and simmering curries. The aroma of her cooking soon filled the house, drawing curious glances and murmurs of servants of house.

As the meal came together, Geetanjali felt a sense of accomplishment. Despite the uncertainty surrounding Abhimanyu's absence, she knew she was making a positive impression on her new family. When everything was ready, she set the table and invited everyone to sit.
