"You know you have to tell me where we're going eventually, right?"

Vic and I have been on the road for almost two hours now and I still have no idea where we're headed to. This morning when I woke up Vic told me to pack an overnight bag, grab my phone and meet him at the car. I thought we were going to have a long day on set, but much to my surprise we set off on the complete opposite way from everything and before I knew it we were on the highway headed out of LA. By this point of our drive we're reentered a town but I have no idea what town we're in.

"We're almost there." Vic assures me.

"How almost is almost? I have to pee."

"Two minutes."

"Two minutes and we'll be at...?

He looks over at me with a devilish grin on his face. "At our destination."

I huff and cross my arms over my chest dramatically. Looking outside I see that we've turned off the main road and are now turning down multiple different side streets. The houses fly by us, all of them looking exactly the same to me.

We pull into a driveway to a random Surburban house that has two other cars in the driveway already. Vic doesn't hesitate to get out of the car, motioning for me to join him, so I cautiously unbuckle and get out the car.

"Ma, dad, this is Finn." Vic says, grinning at me.

He brought me to his fucking parents' place?! We drove for two hours in a car alone and he didn't think to even clue me into the fact that he was bringing me to meet his parents. I could pass out right now.

"Finn we have heard so much about you." his mom says to me. She comes over to me and throws her arms around me, squeezing me tight against her. "I'm so happy to finally meet you."

"Me too!" I say brightly. Over her shoulder I give Vic a what-the-fuck look. He just grins back at me, loving this moment. It's not often I'm caught off-guard, but Vic has managed to truly surprise me.

His mom pulls away from me but keeps her hands on my arms as she studies me. "You're a beautiful girl, our son is lucky."

"Yes he is." I say as I shoot Vic another look.

His mom and dad gush over us for a couple more minutes, asking us how long we're staying, what we plan on doing while in town and such. Vic's mom cuts herself off after a couple minutes and urges us to come into the house with them so we can talk more. We both grab our bags from the car, during which I get the chance to give Vic shit for this.

"You brought me to your fucking parents' house?" I hiss under my breath. "What is wrong with you?!"

"It'll do you some good, trust me." he whispers back to me, grabbing my bag from me as we head into the house. "Besides, I missed them."

"I hope you're hungry, I made lunch!" his mom calls back to us as she leads us into the kitchen.

The house is nothing like I've seen before. The walls were clearly painted by them years ago, the colours look dulled from the sun over the years. There's pictures all down the walls in the hallway, photos of Vic as a kid, family portraits, photos from Vic's tours, you name it. I let go of Vic's hand so I can stop and really look at each photo.

"I broke my arm about ten seconds after that photo was taken." Vic says from beside me, pointing to a photo of him on top of a giant red slide. He looks to be about 6 or 7 in the photo, clutching an ice cream cone and beaming at the camera. He's wearing a blue cap that's backwards on his head which makes me smile.

"Oh, yes, we could never get him out of the park." Vic's mom says with a laugh. She's grinning at all the photos on the wall, probably reliving each one of them right now in her head. "This one was right after Vic lost his first tooth." she says, pointing to a photo of Vic smiling at the camera, showing off his bottom missing tooth.
