Ns POV:
After the long and intense discussion I had shared with Uzi, we finally boarded the bus again after an eventful day. I settled into my seat, hoping to catch some sleep, while Uzi, already deeply asleep, rested peacefully beside me. The horizon began to glow with the first light of dawn, casting a gentle warmth over everything.
I was on the verge of drifting off when I noticed a quiet sizzle. The sunlight had crept onto Uzi's hand, burning her hand. Instinctively, I reached out and gently moved her hand out of the sun's reach, only to find that our fingers had become intertwined. My heart skipped a beat as I realized the unexpected intimacy of the moment. We were holding hands.
Startled, I quickly separated our hands, my mind racing with surprise. Uzi was still fast asleep, blissfully unaware of us holding hands. Trying to shake off the bewilderment, I resolved to go back to sleep. But as I closed my eyes, a slight blush appeared on my visor, betraying my flustered state. I chose to ignore it for the moment and focused on falling asleep again.
Uzi shifted slightly and leaned her head on my shoulder. To my surprise, the contact was comforting, her warmth seeping through and making me feel strangely content. Despite the comfort of the moment, my thoughts became conflicted. Uzi was my best friend, someone I deeply cared about, but my heart was supposedly set on V.
I had told myself countless times that I had a crush on V. I even told Uzi that I had like V when I first met her. Yet here I was, feeling a confusing mix of emotions while Uzi leaned on me. No, I had to remind myself. Uzi is my best friend, and I have feelings for V. But as the bus rumbled on and the sunrise painted the sky with soft hues.
I couldn't deny the warmth of Uzi's presence or the comfort I found in her touch. With these thoughts swirling in my mind, Uzi still resting against me, her warmth lingering. The gentle hum of the bus, the soft glow of the rising sun, and the comforting weight of Uzi's head on my shoulder created a cocoon of tranquility. Closing my eyes, I finally started to fall asleep.
