The after party went by fast, there was fireworks, waterworks, pictures with the bride and groom. There was a big wedding feast, and a couple of social media posts saying: Perfect #WeddingDay most of us who were there, knew it wasn't. The massacre of the cruise, and an unhappy marriage. It definitely wasn't a perfect day nor wedding day. Fucking sucked if you ask me. That night I sat in my office in the mansion. Lillie was already laying in bed, I was sitting at my desk. Nick, Azazel, Rias, Issei, Mitchel, Meera and Ruby were all playing a game of Cards Against Humanity at the kitchen Table. Ravage was in the guest room, resting. I stared at the blank Google Doc on my screen.
The door to my office opened. Nick and Azazel stood in the doorway. "Can we come in?" Azazel smiled.
"Yeah, why not?" I closed my laptop.
They stepped in and closed the door behind them. Azazel pulled up a chair, and Nick sat on my desk.
"So we have to talk about the attack." Nick pulled out his phone. On the screen we're multiple scenes of attacks, all with a marking- YTC. "There wasn't just one. There's multiple."
"Not just random attacks either." Azazel butted in. "They're all connected. Most of them were at parties with important people."
"How? And who?" I sat back in my chair.
"Well for starters there is the Yacht attack. The great three powers, as in Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels had a massive party that was also attacked. A Ghostopolis Politician party was attack. A few others as well. It seems like they're either suicidal, or they're trying to make a name for themselves."
"Then this won't be the last time we see them?" I looked at Nick.
Nick looked at me, "To be honest, you'll never know, especially if they have Hades under their belt. So yeah, this isn't the last time we're gonna see them, but be ready they'll strike again at any point."
And with that Nick and Azazel said their goodbyes and left the room. I opened my laptop again. I stared at the document again, thinking of what I should even write about.
Fuck! It's so hard!
I had an idea, I just didn't know how to start it. I put my hands on the keyboard to start typing, but I heard a knock on the door. I had to close my laptop, yet again.
"Who is it?" I asked openly
"It's Meera. Is it a bad time?" She answered from behind the door.
I quickly got up and opened the door. "No it's not a bad time at all, what's up?"
Meera put her hands behind her back. "I've been needing to talk to you for a while."
"About?" I swallowed.
Her legs crossed like she was embarrassed of what she was about to do or say. "Well first of all let me come in." I stepped aside and let her come in.
I shut the door. I then walked over to my desk. I didn't sit down. "So, tell me what's wrong?"
She walked around the desk, she was about a foot close to me. "I need you to tell me something."
I stood up straighter, "Um, okay...where is this going."
"Hypothetically speaking, if I were to be unhappy with my husband, not because he's a bad guy, but because I thought I could be happy with him. And me and you were alone together and I told you my feelings to you, how would you feel?"
"Well since it is hypothetically speaking, if you were to admit your feelings to me...I-I wouldn't know how to feel, because I've thought of you like this before, but I always ignore the feeling because I already have the love of my life." I smiled.
She looked at me in amazement and attraction. "You'll always be the guy who can reject someone and still have a girl head-over-heels for you. That's why you're special to me, I love you, Ben. I know we can't be, but at least I can do this." She then pushed me back onto the chair, pulled herself onto me and kissed me. Some sort of energy rallied its way and conquered every part of my body. She didn't let go for a good minute, and in that minute I'm glad nobody walked in, especially Lillie, she would have gone ballistic. Understandable, what I did was unforgivable and wrong in so many ways. But it felt right, like it was the right thing to do.
She got off and licked her lips. "Thank you so much, I really needed that, I'll cherish this kiss. I know you won't say it back, but I love you. I'll get out of your hair."
She started to walk towards the door.
Tears filled my eyes.
I didn't want her to be unhappy forever.
I got up out of my chair and grabbed her arm.
She looked back at me. "Hey are you okay."
I looked up at her. "I don't want you to be unhappy forever. I'll find a way to make you happy, in some shape or form."
She looked at me in surprise, and a tear fell from her eye, she smiled. "Thank you, Ben." She wiped the tears off my face. "Let me leave, before I get you in trouble." And with that she left me alone with only my thoughts of her and Lillie. I couldn't help but feel guilty, towards both of them.
I couldn't help but fall to my knees in defeat. I knew there was nothing that I could do to help her. And then there was Lillie. I felt guilty that I even kissed her. If I ever told her, she would be completely destroyed. In fact my whole life would be destroyed. I felt so much guilt and regret it hurt my head really badly.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Yeah?" I sobbed.
The door opened and I was alone with the blonde hair, blue eyed beauty that calls me her husband. "Baby? Are you okay? I heard you sobbing so I came to check on you." She sat down next to me and put my head in her chest."
"No, I'm hurt. In a very bad way." I cried.
"I know." Her expression darkened. She knew.
"I'm sorry. After what I did I have no right to be called your husband." I curled up into a ball.
"To everyone else, yes! You have no right." She then picked up my head off her chest. "Yes, I will be indefinitely mad at you for letting her kiss you. But she was in an emotional state, and you helped her. That's the person I married. You help anyone no matter the cost. Why do so many people really enjoy you and like you?" She waited a second like she was waiting for an answer. I didn't respond. "Because you've helped them. You helped me. You've saved and helped me more times than I can count. You're not just a hero to all, you're my hero."
I looked up at her and stared. I was astonished.
"For Gods' sake you helped Nick out from his Hades-influenced state. When he stabbed you, he came back even though we shot him a couple of times. He won't admit it, but even your older brother looks up to you." She wiped the tears off my face. "No matter how many times we encounter enemies, you will always throw yourself into the front lines to protect your friends. That's why we love you." She grabbed me and pulled me in for a kiss. It was more emotional and exciting than normal. Her taste was exquisite and something I cherished closely. I loved her, she was the only one I wanted.
She pulled away. "That's why I love you. You're a good husband, father, and friend. Keep being you, my soulmate and love forever."
She stood up and stood me up. She slapped me across the face. "And that's for not stopping her." Then she kissed the side of my face. "But maybe I can share..."
"Wait, WHAT???" I shouted.
She quickly covered my mouth. "Shut up or everyone will hear. I'll figure it out and I'll talk to Meera."
I hugged her. "Thank you."
"I'm gonna go back to bed now. Come soon, I need my cuddles." She looked a little bit saddened but more happy.
"One more thing," I called out to her when she was about to step out the door. "You know I just wanna let you know no matter what happens next, you'll always be my forever love."
She smiled and blushed. "I love you goodnight." She then quickly closed the door and I heard footsteps receding down the hallway. I smiled. Maybe my life really was perfect. I went back to my laptop and opened it. I thought of the title: #WeddingDay. It was perfect. I'll write about the Cruise, the Wedding, and all the emotions that were felt. I typed up the first chapter in about an hour. Then I decided Lillie could get her cuddled now. So I shut off my laptop, put it in the drawer, turned off the lamp on the desk, grabbed my phone and headed to my room. And that's that for now, I hope you enjoyed the ride. I dunno what's gonna happen next. We have a clear new enemy, and they could honestly strike at any point. Hoping they won't, but be prepared for anything. Keep an eye out for us gods out there. And if you're a fellow superhuman or god or demigod or even mortal, I advise you to keep an eye out and let us know of any sightings of YTC or even anything abnormal, post it on social media. We'll find it and take care of it. For now this is peace-out. Stay safe and stay aware.
