Juliette's POV:

I can smell the dampness of the room surrounding me, clinging onto the little hope I have left.
One.
Two.
Three.
Three seconds go by until a man bursts into my room, a real man. He's tall, around the same age as me: 17-18. He has shiny black shoes on with perfect white socks peeking out just above flowing from his black trousers and his black t-shirt.
"Hey, I'm Adam", he says as he moves his hand through his gorgeous, brunette hair. He moved to the side and pushes someone in: a short, brown haired girl with bright green eyes:
"And this, is Y/N, she's been staying in this asylum a little longer than you. Y/N and I will be joining you for a few days, so you have people to talk to."
I don't reply. It's been 3 minutes since the oak wood door opened in-front of me.
"I don't expect you to reply, just know that we are here for you. We want to help you, I want to help you. I want to help you both." He realises i'm not going to talk.
"Y/N meet Juliette."
She replies politely, clearly not as freaked out as i am, "Hi, nice to meet you."
I provide them both with a smile as they walk in. Y/N doesn't seem like she's been in here, in this hell hole: she's got a perfectly clean white tank top on with some green cargos, but no shoes and she doesn't look skinnier than any normal person would.

2 hours have passed since someone talked to me, 2 hours and 3 seconds since I had been acknowledged.
Y/N can't stand the silence, "So Adam, why are you here?"
"To help you both," he replies.
"Is that it? You just want to help us? For no reason?"
"I was also kept here, in my own room. I was asked a few days ago if i wanted some company, if i wanted to help others like me. So i said yes and well, here I am."
I start crying, curling up into a ball and drowning in my sorrows. But when Adam looks at me, i feel a sense of safety, like i've known him for my whole lifetime, like i can confide in him when i'm alone.
One.
Two.
Three.
I'm screaming, screaming and shouting and crying and dying.
"JULIETTE!! JULIETTE WAKE UP!" Panting, i wake up to Adam in my face, Y/N standing closely behind.
"Juliette calm down, you're ok, i'm here."
"I'm ok, I'm ok," I say, surprising myself.
"So she does talk," I hear Y/N whisper, Adam shushes her, looking behind.
I sit up against the wall and count the tiles, one...two...three...
"Juliette are you ok?"
Four...five...six...
"What's wrong with her?"
Seven...eight...nine...
"Juliette?"
Ten.
The door slams open and the soldiers come in, dragging all three of us out, out of this room, out into the world.
