Prolouge

It was a rainy day in the forest, even thunder was heard. Everyone was sleeping in the treehouse, besides Headchef and Turbo of course, but also Elliot. Headchef was looking out the window for any zombies, there were. Turbo was scratching the walls, which made an awful sound. Elliot couldn't get any sleep because of them two.

Elliot: "Could you guys please be quiet...? I just wanna sleep, we need to get enough energy to go to the mountains tomorrow..."
Headchef: "..I'm sorry Elliot but I need to protect you guys from these.... things."
Turbo: "..Can't sleep, won't sleep...."

Elliot groaned, and he covered his ears to try and block out the scratching. After while, Elliot has had enough, he nudged VMT to wake him up. VMT yawned.

VMT: "...mmm?"
Elliot: "Do you have noise canceling headphones by any chance...?"
VMT: "...Elliot, why the fuck would I have noise canceling headphones...?"

Elliot shrugged, VMT let out a deep sigh and rubbed his eyes.

VMT: "Ask.. TTTpig once he gets back..."
Elliot: "Awwwh.. but I don't wanna wait a long time..."
VMT: "Ask K9 then..."

Vmt went back to sleep. Elliot got up and went to K9's sleeping bag, he nudged K9 a bit since Elliot knows he'll be all cranky when he wakes up. K9 eventually woke up, rubbing his eye.

K9: "mmmm... What do you want, Elliot..?"
Elliot: "..Do you have any noise canceling headphones...?"

K9 got his bag and looked through it, he got out the headphones Elliot wanted. Elliot put them on, he smiled and hugged K9. K9 tried to get Elliot off of him.

Elliot: "Thank you, K9...! I'll give them back to you okay...?"
K9: "Yes yes, okay.. J-Just get off of me...!"

Elliot let go of K9 and went back to his sleeping bag, and he slept through the whole night.

Elliot's POV:
I woke up, feeling great! I saw that everyone was still asleep (except Headchef and Turbo of course). I took off my noise canceling headphones and placed them back into K9's bag.

Turbo: "READY TO SLAY ALL THE ZOMBIES...??!"

I sighed.

Elliot: "We gotta wait until everyone else is awake, then we could go.."
Turbo: "AWH MAN..."
Headchef: "..Hey, wasn't Pig supposed to come back by now?"
Elliot: "He's probably busy fighting off zombies or something..."

I hope TTTpig is alright... He was the protector of our group after all, and I trust him. I heard Jman yawn, he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

Jman: "Good morning, guys..."
Elliot: "Good morning, Jman!!"

I went to Jman and hugged him, he didn't really react since I always hugged him every morning he woke up. I let go of him.

Turbo: "GREAT, JMAN'S AWAKE... CAN WE GO NOW...!?!?"
Jman: "We have to wait til VMT and K9 wake up."
Turbo: "...GODDAMMIT.!"

Turbo groaned and slammed his crowbar against the wall, which shook the treehouse a bit. Headchef flinched and backed up from Turbo.

Elliot: "Whoa! Careful.. You couldve knocked over this whole thing!"
Turbo: "GOOD..."

Jman groaned. He stood up and walked over the Turbo, he lightly smacked him, Turbo hissed and backed up into a corner. I whispered to Jman.

Elliot: "..I miss the old Turbo... When y'know, He wasn't like this..."
Jman: "Mhm.. Hey, Turbo, what even happened that got you like this?"

Turbo just hissed at Jman, not answering his question. Jman and I sighed. I felt sorry for Turbo, I wanted to do something to help him, but his sanity had all been shattered and he gets all aggressive when I want to help him. Turbo was so chill until the infection hit.... And now he's a whole other person. I can't even recognize what his old self was anymore. At least Headchef still had some sanity, which didn't make him go completely crazy. Finally VMT and K9 woke up.

K9: "Yawnnn... Good morning.."
VMT: "Good morning everyone... Has Pig came back yet..?"
Elliot: "Good morning! And nope.. not yet..."

I hugged VMT and K9. VMT accepted the hug, and K9 tried to make me let go. K9 growled.

K9: "Grrrr... Let. Go..."

I let go of K9. He grabbed his bag. I also let go of VMT.

VMT: "Alright, guys.. Ready to go?"
Elliot: "Uh huh! Born ready!"
Jman: "Mhm."
Turbo: "YES YES YES..."
Headchef: "...Yeah.."
K9: "Sure.."

Jman opened the door and looked down from the treehouse, he looked around for a bit to see any zombies around. The coast was clear.

Jman: "Alright, It's good."

We all climbed down from the treehouse and started heading towards the stump. Until I heard rustling coming from a bush, I looked at the bush for a bit. It appears K9 heard it too, since he was also looking at it.

Elliot: "Guys...? Could you come over here..?"

Everyone went towards Elliot and K9, they also heard the bush rustling. They all look each other in confusion, I can't blame them, I was confused too. K9 slowly went towards the bush, wanting to investigate the sound.

Headchef: "C-Careful, K9... It could be a zombie..."
K9: "I'll be fine.. Trust me."

K9 then quickly looked inside the bush, his eyes widened slightly and his ears went down. I was confused and went towards the bush too, wanting to see what was inside.

Elliot: "K9..? What's wron-..."

The thing I saw in the bush immediately made me panic. It was...
