**I am sorry for the delay** There is a bit of spice to this chapter.
Guts was barely awake by the time Tilly had returned from reuniting with her brother and receiving the fairy tear medicine for him.
"Guts! You will never believe what just happened." Tilly's voice was so loud and excited that she practically fell through the doorway.
Guts jumped and grimaced at the pain from the sudden movement. "Uugghh- What?"
Tilly scrambled to bring up the stool beside the bed. "My brother is one of the squires here, in Wyndham!"
Guts raised an eyebrow in shock. "Are you sure?""Yes, I'm sure, I would never forget him. And look at this! He made medicine! Like the stuff that Judeau had!" Tilly pulled out the pouch of ointment and opened it for Guts to see. "Here, let's get this on you." Tilly began helping Guts undress the wound. Slowly exposing his bare muscular torso. Black and blue graffitid his pale chest from the severe bruising, and there was a large gash across his torso that looked to be at the beginning stages of festering. Gut's face looked unsure of the magic. He was skeptical and overall just uneasy with the super natural. A grimmice crossed his face as if Tilly was showing him a bag of shit. But he allowed her to continue.
Carefully, Tilly rubbed the ointment between her fingers and began spreading it across his wound. Sure enough, as if by magic, the wound seemed to start to heal before their very eyes. The areas that were dark red turned more to a healthy light pink.
The infection started to go away. The bruising began to shift to yellow, and the gash also shrunk. Immediately upon relief, Guts sat up in shock. "Woah." He said, flexing his pectoral muscle. He was far from better, but the relief he felt was unbelievable. Now, he might actually be able to sleep so his natural healing faculties could work properly.
"I'm going to learn how to make this and anything else that can help us get by." She said, putting the rest on the nightstand and still looking the ointment over.
Guts smiled at her. She was always cooking something up in her brain, and when she set her mind to it, that was all there was to it. "That sounds like a good idea to me." Guts laid back into the bed and sunk in, finally able to get comfortable.
Tilly looked again at the ointment, amazed. It was a light gray, almost blue color, and seemed to have a shimmering property like glitter. Her mind flashed with the faces of all the people that could have been saved if they just had this... and it was considered throw away to these people. She set the bag down and moved next to Guts in the bed, curling up close to his side, Quickly pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind where the rest of the survivors guilt and the resentment of the upperclass went.
Gut's arm wiggles its way behind her head as his other rest over her torso, gently keeping her close. In the midst of all the fighting and battles over the past 3 years, they had become something of a comfort to each other, especially after close calls...
Guts was surprisingly the one that broke the silence first. "Do you think Griffith is alright?"
"The stuff I gave you I only got because they considered it a failure. Whatever they give, Griffith is going to be better. So he's going to be fine, I'm sure."
"...you're right." Guts sighed, pulling her into his chest so that her body was spooned up against his. His arms squeezed her as best as he could, given that he was still severely injured. The weight of her body felt heavy against him as if she was slumping into a sadness, and he knew exactly where her mind was going, even without looking at her face. "None of that was your fault."
"But if I didn't blow the horn, my men could have stayed away. They didn't stand a chance. Did you see them? Cut through like animals. And I called them all to it."
