1: The new girl

Match's Pov:
-Match and pencil are sitting in history class together gossiping to each other silently-
[Pencil] "Match did you hear we got a new student!?"

"No, what's her name!"

"Her names ruby! I talked to her earlier and i think i'm gonna invite her to sit with us at lunch. I might even invite her to hang out later today!"

I looked at her with a confused face "Uh pence pence, we were supposed to hang out today, don't you remember?"

"Oh, well can't she tag along too? I mean it's always just been the two of us, I think having three people would be nice!"

I was about to speak again but the angry history teacher spoke before me. "Girls! How many times have I told you not to talk when i'm teaching! Be quiet before i send both of you to detention!"

I turn away from pencil and drown out whatever the teacher was talking about. I was already failing history, there's no point in trying to pay attention anymore.
Finally the bell rings. Students rush out the classroom and straight to the cafeteria. It was lunch time.

I look over to where i thought pencil was only to see she had rushed out with the rest of the students.

That's odd...we usually walk to lunch together. I guess i'll walk alone.

I make my way through the crowded hallways to the cafeteria and sit down at our usual lunch table which consisted of: Me, bubble, book, ice cube, and pencil.

[Match] "Hey guys...uh like... where the heck is pencil?" I thought she would've been here by now...where is she!?

[Book] "I think i saw her walking with the new girl, Ruby."

[Bubble] "Oh yeah! I saw them holding hands earlier!"

[Match] "Oh, well ok i guess..." I stood up and walked over to get food.

Once i came back I got greeted by Pencil and ruby

[Pencil] "hey match! This is ruby! She going to be sitting with us from now on!!!"

[Match] "Hey ruby! It's nice to meet you!"

[Ruby] "Hiii!! I'm so excited to be friends with all of you!! I just know we will all get along so well!"

I quickly noticed ruby sitting where i always sit. Right next to pencil. I'll just ignore it..she's new, she probably didn't know!

I sit down next to bubble and stayed silent most of the time. Not like anyone was paying attention to me either way. They were all fixated on ruby.

[Ice cube] "Match why haven't you eaten anything!? Lunch is almost over! Is everything ok?"

[Match] I looked down at my full tray of food realizing i hadn't eaten anything. "Everything is fine, i just wasn't hungry today. Don't worry about it!"

[Ice cube] "But you're usually very hungry?!"

[Match] Why can't people just accept the answer i give them? "Ice cube i said im fine! Just drop it."

-The bell rings and everyone starts walking out the cafeteria.-

I throw my food away and walk out the cafeteria. Usually i would walk with pencil but she was busy talking with ruby. It feels as if i'm being replaced with her.

Pencil's Pov:

After throwing my trash away I catch up with ruby. "Hey ruby! What class do you have next?"

She pulls out a sheet of paper which i figured had her schedule on it. "Looks like i have science next, what about you?"

"That's great because i also have science next! We could walk there together if you want?"

She puts away her sheet of paper and smiles. "Yeah sure!"

As we are walking out the cafeteria and to the science classroom she's asks me a question.

"Hey pencil...i don't wanna seem problematic or anything like that but your friend match seemed as if she was uncomfortable with me sitting with you guys..."

"Oh uh match? Yeah she can be like that to new people. I'm sure she will warm up to you soon!"

"I guess you're right. I just wouldn't want anyone feelings uncomfortable with me sitting with you guys!"

I smile at her and walk into the science classroom. I go sit down in my assigned seat next to flower. I really hate assigned seats. Especially when i'm sat next to someone like flower...

Ruby introduces herself to the class. "Hi everyone! My names ruby and i hope we can all get along!"

[Science teacher] "Thank you for introducing yourself ruby. Now go take a seat next to bubble. Please raise your hand bubble!"

-bubble raises her hand-

-Time skip bc i'm too lazy to write the rest of the day :3-

Match's Pov:

The last bell finally rung! It felt like the day kept dragging on forever! All i want to do is hangout with pencil. I haven't gotten to properly hang out with her at all today!

I walk to my locker and store away my stuff. Finally I walk out the school doors and run straight to Pencil's house!
It's not a far walk from the school. Only about 10 minutes.

Once i get there i walk up to her door and knock 3 times. I hear footsteps coming towards the door. And the door opens. "HEY PEN-" I stop talking once i saw who had answered the door.

[Ruby] "Hey match! It's great to see you!" It was ruby.
