Sara woke up the next morning and panicked when she saw the time, realizing she overslept. She quickly called Shubman to check if he was awake. After a few rings, Shubman picked up, and Sara urged him to wake up as they were running late. They both made their way to the living room from their respective rooms, where Alysha and Vedika were already having breakfast. Alysha shot them a questioning look.
Alysha: Late night talks again?
Sara: Nah, just forgot to set the alarm.
Vedika: What about you, Shubman?
Shub: Same here, forgot to set it.
Alysha and Vedika exchanged teasing glances at Shubman and Sara. Amidst the banter, Sara sneezed.
Sara: *Huchh!*
Shub: Bless you.
Sara: Thank you.
Then, Shubman sneezed, followed by Sara, a few times.
Vedika: What a coincidence, guys. You both catching a cold together?
Sara: It's just the weather.
Alysha: We're all in the same weather, but only you two catch a cold. Something's fishy.
Sara: Nothing fishy, just overthinking.
With that, Sara left the room. Shubman, feeling a bit embarrassed, followed suit shortly after.
As they all got ready and headed out for shopping, they found themselves wandering through a street lined with small shops, each offering its own unique treasures. Sara's eyes lit up as she spotted a clothing store, and she made a beeline for it. Meanwhile, Shubman, unable to resist the allure of spending more time with Sara, followed her into the shop.
Inside, they both browsed through the racks, each selecting items that caught their eye. Sara finished her shopping first and made her way to the men's section to find Shubman. She spotted him holding up a shirt, a smile playing on his lips.
Shub: "What do you think of this one?"
It was his favorite color shirt, Unaware of his attachment to the shirt, Sara shook her head.
Sara: "I don't really like it."
Shub looked down at the shirt, then back at Sara, his expression softening.
Shub: "You don't like it?"
Sara pouted slightly, shaking her head again.
Sara: "Nope."
Shub grinned, a hint of mischief in his eyes.
Shub: "Well, if you don't like it, then neither do I. Your turn to pick."
Sara eagerly browsed through the shirts, selecting one she thought would suit Shubman perfectly. When she showed it to him, his face lit up with delight, a clear indication of how much her opinion meant to him.
This simple moment spoke volumes about Shubman's affection for Sara, showing how he valued her input even in the smallest of matters, and how deeply he cared for her happiness.
After finishing their shopping, Shubman and Sara stepped out of the store and paused. They called their friends to check where they were, but their friends were still shopping. So, Shubman and Sara decided to grab some ice cream and headed to a nearby ice cream parlor.
While enjoying their ice cream, Shubman noticed a gift shop directly across the street. An idea sparked in his mind—there were only three days left in their trip, and he wanted to get a gift for Sara to express his feelings for her.
Shubman told Sara that he needed to buy some gifts for his sister and asked her to finish her ice cream while he quickly went to the shop. Sara offered to join him, but Shubman managed to convince her to stay, promising he'd be back in just five minutes.
Shubman entered the gift shop, feeling a bit unsure about what to buy. As he wandered around, his eyes fell on a beautiful bracelet. Next to it was a tray full of alphabet charms that could be added to the bracelet. Inspired, Shubman decided to buy the bracelet and picked out the charms for the letters "S" and "G."
He had two reasons for choosing these letters. First, "SG" stood for Shubman Gill, so whenever Sara wore the bracelet, it would remind her of him and his love for her. Second, "SG" could also stand for Sara Gill, showing her how serious he was about their relationship that he is ready to give her his last name.
The shopkeeper added the charms to the bracelet, and Shubman paid the bill, feeling excited about his decision. Just as he was about to leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around quickly, and to his surprise, it was Sara.
Sara: Hey Shubman, done with the selection?
Shubman: Yeah, I have bought it. Let's go.
Sara: Show me what you have bought.
Sara tried to peek at the gift, but it was already gift-wrapped, so she couldn't see inside.
Shubman: Sara, I just bought some accessories for my sister, that's it.
Sara: Oh, okay.
Shubman: And I bought something for you too.
Sara: Really? Show me!
From behind his back, Shubman produced a tulip flower and handed it to Sara.
Sara: How did you know this is my favorite flower?
Shubman: You told me about it in our first chatting.
Sara: Oh, yes, you're right. I did mention that. Thank you, Shubman, this is really sweet.
Shubman: You're welcome, Sara.
As Shubman and Sara were about to leave the gift shop, Shubman turned to Sara with a playful smile.
Shubman: Hey Sara, I bought a gift for you, but where is my gift?
Sara: What do you want, Shub? I'll buy it for you.
Looking intensely into Sara's eyes, Shubman moved closer to her. Sara instinctively moved backwards.
Sara: Shub, what are you doing?
Shubman didn’t reply and continued moving closer. Sara kept stepping back until she hit the wall. Shubman came even closer, their faces just inches apart. Sara, completely lost in his eyes, whispered:
Sara: What do you want, Shubman?
Shubman suddenly moved back from sara, starting to walk away. He turned his head back with a teasing smile, pointing for Sara to look behind her.
Shubman: I want that as my gift.
Sara, confused, looked back and was surprised to see her reflection in a mirror hanging on the wall. She couldn't stop blushing at Shubman's move. Just then, Sara's phone rang. It was Arjun.
Arjun: Hey Sara, our shopping is done. Are you finished? If so, join us.
Sara: Yeah, we’ll be there soon.
Sara and Shubman joined their friends. They all did some more shopping together and had lunch at a fancy restaurant. Despite being with their friends, Shubman and Sara couldn’t resist exchanging loving glances at each other.
Will Shubman express his feelings first, or will Sara? Or does fate have other plans? Stay tuned...
