As soon as Sara got to her room, her phone beeped with a notification. She glanced at it and saw, "Shubman Gill started following you." Her heart skipped a beat. Right after, she got a DM notification. It was from Shubman.
Excitedly, she opened the message.
Shubman: "Hey Sara! I haven't completed what I wanted to say because of Alysha's sudden entry. Do you want me to complete it now?"
Sara quickly typed back: "No need, Mr. SG. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight!"
But Shubman wasn't ready to end the conversation just yet. He replied: "Are you sleepy? If not, we can talk for some more time. What do you say?"
Sara: "Hmm... I'm not that sleepy, but someone told me to sleep early because he doesn't like dark circles on my face. So I think I need to sleep now... at least for him."
Shubman: "Oh, now you're using my trick on me... I think he won't mind if the reason for your dark circles is him."
Sara blushed : "How cheesy!"
They continued texting for a while, chatting about their hobbies, interests, and other random things. Their conversation was light and fun, making both of them forget about the time. Eventually, they both drifted off to sleep, phones still in hand.
The next morning, everyone was ready to go out as planned, but their plans were canceled due to bad weather. Stuck in the villa, they had to come up with new ways to pass the time.
Sara's POV:
Since we couldn't go outside because of the unpredictable weather in Goa, I decided to finish the book I'd been meaning to complete for a long time. I grabbed my book and a chair and headed to the garden. As I settled in and started reading, I overheard Shubman and his friends chatting nearby.
I tried to focus on my book, but my eyes kept drifting towards Shubman. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but sneak glances at him. Usually, nothing could distract me from a good book, but in this moment, I found it impossible to keep my eyes off him. Frustrated, I finally moved my chair to face away from him.
After about ten minutes, I was peacefully reading when Arjun and his friends decided to visit a friend's place nearby. Shubman, not knowing that person, stayed back at the villa. He grabbed another chair and sat down in front of me.
I looked up and smiled softly at him, which he returned. Noticing the book’s title, Shubman said, "That’s a good read, huh? Isn’t this the one where the protagonist does all the murders right at the end?"
My face turned frustrated. "Why did you reveal the twist?"
Shubman grinned. "So that you would stop reading and start talking to me."
I blushed, and he smirked.
"Okay, tell me," I said, closing the book.
"We need to stay in the villa all day. Don’t you feel bored?" he asked.
"Yeah, I’m already bored. But what can we do? We can’t predict the weather!" I replied.
"You'd know what real enjoyment and real adventure are if I had planned this trip," Shubman said.
"So, are you saying we’re all boring?" I teased.
"No, I’m just saying I’m more fun. Okay, leave it. I’m super hungry," he said.
"Then, order something," I suggested.
"Do you have any important work? If not, we could cook something together to pass the time," he proposed.
"Not a bad idea. Let me ask Alysha and Vedika if they want to join," I said.
I asked Alysha and Vedika if they wanted to join our cooking session, but both of them hated cooking and decided they’d rather order something instead. So, it was just me and Shubman, ready to tackle the kitchen together.
Shubman and Sara were in the kitchen, surrounded by the mouthwatering aroma of food cooking. The mood was light and fun; Shubman kept cracking jokes and teasing Sara, making her laugh and blush non-stop.
Sara was chopping vegetables, but Shubman’s antics were a bit too distracting. In the middle of their banter, she accidentally cut her index finger. She yelped in pain, and Shubman’s face went from playful to sheer panic in an instant.
"Sara!" he shouted, his voice shaky. His eyes teared up at the sight of the blood. "Can’t you be more careful?" he scolded, though it was clear he was more scared than angry.
Sara tried to downplay it. "It’s just a little cut, Shubman. I’m fine."
But Shubman was already rifling through the cabinets for the first aid kit. He grabbed it and hurried back to her, his hands shaking. He cleaned her cut, applied antiseptic, and carefully wrapped it in a bandage. The whole time, he kept muttering, "This is my fault. I shouldn’t have distracted you."
Sara looked at him with a warm smile. "Shubman, it’s not your fault. I should’ve been more careful."
He wasn’t having it. "No, really, just let me finish cooking. You sit and keep me company. Please?"
Sara agreed, touched by how much he cared. "Okay, I’ll just hang out and watch."
So, she sat nearby, chatting with him as he finished up the cooking. The playful vibe returned, but there was a new layer of tenderness between them. Shubman glanced at her every now and then to make sure she was okay, and each look made Sara’s heart melt a little more.
When the dish was finally ready, they tasted it and were thrilled—it turned out amazing. They exchanged proud smiles, happy with their teamwork.
When Arjun and his friends got back, they all decided to play some board games. The villa was filled with laughter and playful teasing as they competed and had fun. The good vibes carried on into the night, and everyone had a great time.As it got late, they started heading to their rooms one by one.
Shubman and Sara also went to their respective rooms. Just as Shubman was about to settle in, his phone buzzed with a message from Sara.
Sara: Wanna go out?
Shubman blinked at his phone, a little surprised.
Shubman: What? At this time?
Sara: Remember when you said the trip would be more fun and adventurous if you planned it?
Shubman: Yeah, but it’s late. And it’s raining!
Sara: That’s what makes it fun and adventurous!
Shubman chuckled, shaking his head.
Shubman: You’re crazy.
Sara: Maybe, but it’ll be worth it. Come on, let’s sneak out.
Shubman stared at the message, weighing the idea. It did sound like something that would make the trip memorable.
Shubman: Seriously?
Sara: Yes! Don’t back out now.
Shubman sighed, smiling to himself. He couldn’t resist her enthusiasm.
Shubman: Alright, fine. Let’s do it.
Sara: Yay! Meet me by the back door in five minutes.
Shubman quickly threw on a jacket and grabbed his phone. As he quietly left his room, he could feel the excitement building. He tiptoed down the hallway, careful not to make any noise. When he reached the back door, Sara was already there, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Shubman: Ready for this?
Sara grinned, her excitement contagious.
Sara: Absolutely. Let’s go!
They both sneaked out into the cool, damp night, the sound of rain softly pattering around them. The adventure had just begun.
