TWO. Quinn boredly drums her fingers on the wooden shelves of the old video store.

Her best friend Richie, though she preferred to call him Randy on account of his love for the Scream franchise, worked there typically. However, he had already worked yesterday and forgot to pick up a movie for their weekly movie night.

"What to watch," She mumbles under her breath in anticipation of her own decision.

Her fingers lingered over the first iron man movie and glanced around.

"Five finger discount," She mumbled snatching it up and shoving it into her jeans waist band, covering it up with her blouse.

"I mean technically it's not stealing since I'm gonna return it tomorrow... probably," She rationalizes to herself quietly.

The doorbell chimes to indicate to anyone inside that another person was entering the store.

"Hello? I need a hand finding the Notebook?" A voice that she recognized as Jackson's called out.

After a few minutes of his -nails on chalk like voice shouting for some assistance. She headed over to him, despite not working there. If only, just to shut him up.

"Hey," she called walking over to him.

"Hey?" Jackson said in turn as he squinted at her. Trying to pinpoint who she was exactly.

"I'm Quinn, we have four classes together..." she said to him slowly, trying to let him process it.

"Right. Quinn," He said, but it was clear to her that he didn't know who she was.

She didn't stop herself from rolling her eyes, not caring if he saw. "You want help finding the movie or not?" She asked.

He raised an eyebrow. "You know where it is?" He asked.

"No... but their computer base does..." she said glancing over to the desk that had a computer.

She glances around to see if any employees were watching before hopping the desk.

"Wha— what are you doing?" Jackson asked confused.

"Finding the movie. That's what you wanted, right?" She asked beginning to log in as her friend Richie that was off.

"Well yeah but won't you get in trouble?" He asked glancing around and putting his hands in his Jean pockets awkwardly.

"Are you a narc?" She asked instead.

Jackson shook his head. One hand still awkwardly stuffed into his pocket, the other beginning to pat his leg.

"So as long as I don't get caught then, nope." She replied, typing in the movie name on their computerized search engine.

"And.... Voila. Movie is in the third isle, first shelf." She said with a smug smile.

Jackson looks at her in surprise but nodded slowly as if taking time to process what had occurred.

"Thanks," he mumbled before turning to go where she instructed.

She focuses on the screen again before seeing a small dot of red on the computer screen. Quinn squints trying to make it out, eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

Quinn brings her finger up to wipe away the dot before pausing. Another dot appeared, dropping down from the ceiling.

The phone began to ring from behind her and she ignored it since she wasn't exactly planning on answering it. After all she wasn't the one working to the bone for just under minimum wage.

She wiped the two dots away from the screen and she looked down to her fingers and saw the bloody outline of her finger prints.

"What the—" Quinn mumbled to herself in her confusion. Then the lights started flickering.

She hopped out from behind the desk and walked towards the center isle to see Jackson stumbling back from something.

"Jackson?" She called confused as to what was going on.

She walked over slowly to where he had gone. "Top ten stupidest things horror movie characters have done," She says to herself as she went towards the shuffling noise.

Quinn shrieked when a giant wolf like creature appeared right before her, pouncing out from one of the isles.

The creature turned to Jackson when he began running and went after him instead.

The creature smashed its body into one of the shelves creating a domino effect that ended up trapping Jackson partially underneath it.

"Fuck. Run for the door or be a good person?" She quietly questioned herself. Her feet itching to start sprinting for the door.

She let out an exasperated groan, hands digging into her head of hair before letting them fall to her sides with a sigh of resignation.

Quinn runs over to Jackson and tries to help lift the shelf off him. He lets out grunts and groans of pain.

As soon as he spots her and realizes she's trying to help him, he's partially frozen in shock.

She grunts but doesn't let her legs give out, no matter how much they burned under the strained.

She was finally able to partially got it up when the snarling beast bound over. Practically tackling her with its hairy body and knocking her to the side.

Quinn's head hit the wall violently and she groaned in pain at the injury.

The beast snarled at Jackson, then went over to Quinn. It nudged her with its snout and she was able to get a good look at it since this whole kerfuffle began.

Quinn's eyes flicked around the beasts features and took in its dark colored fur, slightly matted like a dog that hadn't been trimmed in ages.

The beast has sharp teeth that were a blinding white. With vicious and careful eyes as it seemed to watch her every movement, from her breathing to her twitching fingers.

She realized it was practically a giant dog— more accurately described as a ferocious wolf like creature. Quinn stared back at it as it just stood before her.

It sat like a dog awaiting a command or some kind of signal. She looked at him with fright written across her face.

The giant wolf then began nudging her again with its snot and huffing when she didn't respond.

Quinn looked at it curious as to why it was no longer snarling, she was sure to make no sudden movements, since she didn't want to frighten it.

The beasts ears suddenly turned upward as if picking up some far off sound that she couldn't.

Then without warning it ran off, bursting through the stores display case window. Sprinting off into the nights embrace past the stores parking lot.

"What the fuck?" She shakily whispered. Beyond confused, in fact she'd bargain that she's one of the most confused people on the planet.
