"I have an idea..." Michelle softly said, walking backwards towards her closet.

"Oh...?" He spoke, this caught his attention, her asking for the time, and now an idea. What could this idea be? Was it something small or something more...

As Michelle headed to her closet, she opened it and reached for her black turtleneck sweater, putting it on herself, and grabbed a pair of black boots and put them on as well, now heading to her window from her apartment and opened it, stepping out outside towards the fire escape.

"Come on, Carter." She smiled, now outside and smiling at Carter who was still inside.

"Uh..." He was taken by surprise, as she stepped outside and motioned for him to follow, he thought about it for a moment. She had gone outside, for no apparent reason, and she wanted him to come outside with her. What could it be? He walked over and slowly stepped outside, shutting the glass window as he did, he looked at the fire escape beneath him, as he watched her step out onto it, he was now on the outside, and he was wondering why she wanted him out here. She would then climb up the ladders, now on top of the roof of her apartment complex. Carter followed her out on top of the roof, now standing on the top of her apartment complex, he looked back down to the ground below them, it looked like such a long way down.

"Michelle...?" Carter now spoke to her, as he looked at her, she had motioned for him to follow her out here but he was still unsure why. She then walked to the edge of the roof and sat down, choosing a good spot where they could have a chance to view the beauty of one of New York's prettiest nights, filled with bright buildings and sounds of from below them.

"You wanted me out here..." He murmured quietly to her, as he came over to her, there was a calm quietness to the night now, the sounds from the city were distant. He was sitting next to her, as he was looking over at the skyline of the city below, "This is pretty beautiful..." He spoke softly, it really was quite peaceful, especially for somewhere like New York.

"As beautiful as you, Carter." Michelle softly spoke as she looked down at the city. Carter froze for a moment, his cheeks burning as she had complimented him. He turned his gaze away from the city and to her, and he was completely stunned by her words. He didn't know what to say. Was that really how she felt...? Yes. He turned his eyes back to the city, trying to hide how he was feeling right now. He didn't want her to know that those words made a huge impact on him, bu he did know that he now had a stupid grin across his face.

"You know..." Michelle began, looking down at the city as she swung her legs back and forth.

"What...?" Carter mumbled, still keeping his gaze on the city, though he was still extremely nervous. He did his best to not react to her statements, he was beginning to think if she was doing this on purpose, like some sort of...tease...maybe she did like him as always, but didn't want to tell him directly... As always. Though, it was very hard to not look back at her, especially as she swung her legs.

"Uhm... How do I say this..." Michelle chuckled.

"Just say it..." Carter quietly said, he was starting to feel more and more nervous as she chuckled, his heart was beating even faster now, he was starting to feel like a mess. She was being quite the teaser now, but he was starting to get an inkling on what she was about to say.

"You're... One of a kind..." Michelle then spoke. Carter's eyes widened, as he turned to look back at her, she couldn't see the blush on his cheeks now, as the lights from the city only allowed her to see his eyes.

"I am...?" He asked, it was almost like she was saying something that was unbelievable to him, like if it wasn't true. Like she was trying to test him.
