margo.
"We should go swimming," Nash said tossing a football to Cameron who caught it easily. There was a chorus of agreements and we all began going to our rooms to change.
"I call first in the bathroom!" I yelled, running to my suitcase and grabbing my black and blue bikini. Cam, Nash, and Hayes were rushing to get their stuff as well, all four wanting in our bathroom. I ran in first, slamming the door shut and yelling in victory.
I changed into my bathing suit, and slipped my sweatshirt back on. I threw my hair into a messy bun and my waterproof makeup on. I exited the bathroom carrying my clothes and setting them in my suitcase. Hayes ran in next and I sat on my bed waiting for them. Shawn came in and stared at me, Cam noticed as well.
"Okay, okay, avert your eyes!" He yelled, covering Shawn's eyes. I smiled, blushing slightly. Shawn was attractive, no doubt there. Maybe flirting with him will help me get over Hayes. Shawn held his hands up in defeat and looked away, satisfying Cam.
Hayes appeared from the small bathroom and Nash went in next. I went to my suitcase and searched around in the pockets, grabbing my sunglasses. I spun around only to run into a chest, falling backwards. Two arms wrapped around me, pulling me back against his chest.
"Woah there," Shawn's smooth voice spoke and I blushed looking down. I apologized, not having the strength to slip out of his arms yet.
He smiled and I saw over his shoulder, Hayes watching us. He was glaring, I didn't know what at first but it had a shiver sent down my spine. Why would he be glaring? The bathroom door swung open and I jumped out of Shawn's arms knowing Cam if he saw us.
I made my way to sit on the bed with a sheepish smile. Shawn went to grab his stuff and Cam sat next to Hayes, looking at us suspiciously. Hayes still looked a bit mad and I was still blushing slightly. Shawn had a smug smile on his face as he gave me a wink before shutting the bathroom door.
"You guys ready?" Gilinsky asked, waltzing into the room, texting on his phone. The four of stood from sitting on the beds. We all made our way downstairs to the pool where the rest of the guys were.
Matt and Carter jumped in, and I made my way to the chairs. When I got to the chairs, taking my sweatshirt off, and sat down.
Nash joked, whistling at me while I laughed. "We should have chicken fights!!!" Cameron suggested and Shawn turned and looked at me. "Be my partner?"
I nodded and jumped on his shoulders. The pairs were Cam and Nash, Jack and Jack, Aaron and Hayes, Matt and Carter, and me and Shawn. We gathered in a circle and we counted down from five as we all began pushing and pulling each other. Matt and Carter were the first to fall, my brother pushing them over while on Nash's shoulders.
After a few minutes Jack and Jack and Nash and Cameron fell as well. That left me, Shawn, Hayes, and Aaron. Hayes and I grabbed and pushed each other but we couldn't knock each other down. Then Hayes grabbed my arm and Aaron started walking backwards.
Shawn and I fell forward onto Aaron and Hayes and the four of us fell underwater. Hayes' hands were still holding my arms and I couldn't help but open my eyes to look at him. Hayes was staring right back at me, and he smiled breathtakingly, our faces merely inches apart.
He slid his hands down to lock with mine and I couldn't bring myself to pull away. We kept staring at each other for who knows how long. Sadly, we both needed to breath(it's not a bad thing though, I just wanted to stay in the moment). We both looked up and rose to the surface as the others cheered. Hayes smiled and laughed, as if nothing had happened. I couldn't help but look miserable. Do I really not mean anything to him?
I fake smiled, hiding my sadness. After everyone continued swimming in the pool, I snuck off to to sit in the pool chairs. Since it was an outside pool, the sun was beating down on us and I closed my eyes. Might as well tan while I'm sitting here.
After a few minutes someone sat down in the chair next to me and I peeked one eye open, giving a small smile to Shawn, who beamed back. "It feels amazing today," he said laying back on the chair.
I agreed and a silence fell between us. He was humming Ed Sheeran's 'A-Team' and I listened closely. Even his humming sounds beautiful. "Do you sing?" He asked and blushed shrugging.
"Just a little."
He smiled and sat up, shifting towards me slightly. "Can I hear?" I shook my head frantically, thinking that there's too many people. The person who has heard me sing was Cam.
"I can't. There's too many people around."
"What about tonight? Everyone's gonna be in their rooms doing God knows what."
I thought for a moment. He is an amazing singer. I guess it'd be good to get advice from an amazing singer.
"Yeah I guess." He smiled and held out his pinky. "Pinky promise?"
I laughed and wrapped my pinky around his,"Promise." I released his pinky and turned back to the pool seeing Hayes stare at us again. Only this time, I could tell what was wrong with him. It was written all over his face.
Jealousy.
