Kin's smirk widened as he watched Eien's reaction, sensing the hero's internal struggle. Leaning back casually, he proposed, "Let's team up. If we're together, we're unstoppable."

Eien's eyes widened in disbelief, and he shook his head vigorously. "What? No way. I'm not that desperate for power."

Kin's gaze sharpened, and his tone took on a more serious edge. "You can't even defeat me on your own. What makes you think you can protect the kingdom?"

Eien's jaw tightened, the sting of Kin's words hitting too close to home. He knew the villain had a point, but he couldn't bring himself to trust someone who had caused so much pain and chaos. "What's the catch? I know there's one," Eien demanded, suspicion lacing his voice.

Kin chuckled softly, leaning in closer. "Smart boy," he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. "The catch is simple: we do things my way. We use my methods. Sometimes, to protect something, you have to be willing to get your hands dirty."

Eien's mind raced as he considered Kin's offer. The thought of aligning himself with his greatest enemy was repugnant, but Kin's logic was difficult to dismiss. Protecting the kingdom was his top priority, and if teaming up with Kin was the only way to ensure its safety, could he really afford to refuse?

For a moment, silence stretched between them, the weight of the decision pressing heavily on Eien's shoulders. Finally, he spoke, his voice filled with a mix of resolve and caution. "I'll consider it. But know this: if you betray me or harm anyone in the kingdom, I will stop at nothing to bring you down."

Kin's smirk softened into a more genuine smile. "Fair enough."

Eien couldn't shake the feeling that he was stepping onto a path fraught with danger and moral compromise. But for the sake of his kingdom, he was willing to walk that path, no matter where it might lead.

Eien pulled out a cigarette, the familiar action grounding him in the midst of his chaotic thoughts. With a sigh, he turned to Kin, trying to maintain an air of nonchalance. "The guest room is on the left of the living room," he instructed, his voice betraying none of the turmoil churning within him.

Kin's lips curved into a teasing smile. "Thank you, kind sir," he replied, the playful tone in his voice doing little to alleviate Eien's unease.

As Kin made his way towards the guest room, Eien stepped outside, seeking solace in the cool night air. He lit the cigarette, inhaling deeply and letting the smoke fill his lungs before exhaling slowly. The flickering glow of the cigarette's tip illuminated his face, casting long shadows as he leaned against the porch railing.

Eien's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. (It feels like I'm making a deal with the devil,) he thought bitterly, watching the smoke curl into the night sky. (God, what does he really want?)

The partnership with Kin felt like a dangerous gamble, one that could either save the kingdom or doom it to a fate far worse than he could imagine. The memory of their recent encounter still lingered, Eien blushed then shook it off.
